Cuba y Fidel son faros del mundo afirma trovador chileno

Bayamo, 19 ago (AIN) El trovador chileno Francisco (Pancho) Villa
calificó hoy a Cuba y a su presidente Fidel Castro como faros que
iluminan a los pueblos para continuar luchando por un futuro mejor.

Villa hizo declaraciones a la AIN después de presentarse este viernes
en la ciudad de Bayamo, capital de la oriental provincia cubana de
Granma, como parte de la gira que realiza por la Isla.

Dijo que esta vez vino a traer el abrazo solidario de miles de personas
del planeta, y especialmente de América Latina, preocupadas por la
salud de Fidel, quien se restablece de una complicada intervención
quirúrgica.

Agregó que en las ciudades de Guantánamo y Bayamo, primeros
escenarios de la actual gira, comprobó la fuerte unidad del pueblo
cubano, algo decisivo para el proyecto revolucionario del país.

La cultura cubana tiene matices regionales, pero es una sola, precisó.

Añadió que la Alternativa Bolivariana para Las Américas (ALBA) es la
senda para instaurar definitivamente la fraternidad y la solidaridad,
en pos de salir del subdesarrollo con el esfuerzo propio de los pueblos
latinoamericanos.

Ese proyecto, subrayó, tiene un sitio importante en el arte, que es
una herramienta seductora y convincente, por su capacidad para
despertar las emociones colectivas e individuales.

En el centro histórico de esta ciudad, Monumento Nacional, el artista
interpretó canciones como Adefesio medieval, en la cual critica las
atrocidades del mandatario estadounidense George W. Bush, y Mi
generación, dedicada a las víctimas del ex tirano de Chile, Augusto
Pinochet.

El concierto terminó cuando, emocionados, el público y el trovador
cubano Eduardo Sosa cantaron para el visitante la antológica pieza Yo
pisaré las calles nuevamente, de Pablo Milanés.

Esta noche Villa se presentará en la ciudad de Manzanillo, la segunda
más importante de Granma.
