Is there anything wrong if.....

You come to a madrasa...

Verily, man does transgress
all bounds (in disbelief and evil deed, etc.).

Because he considers himself self-sufficient.

Surely!
Unto your Lord is the return.

Apparently, Muslims didn't get the message about treating their neighbor as
they would have their neighbor treat them. Another one that didn't sink in was
loving another as you love yourself. Oh, and the one about children are God's
creatures, that one went right past them, as evidenced by all the children
killed by insurgent suicide bombings, and the rampant child slave labor market
in the Islamic world.

Guidance for Man

Muslims, referring to the Holy Qur'an, also conclude that from the beginning
of his life on earth, man has received communication from God, to guide him
and protect him from such self-perception and deceit:

'We said: Get ye down all from here; and if, as is sure, there comes to you
guidance from Me, whosoever follows My guidance on them shall be no fear,
nor shall they grieve' (Al-Qur'an 2:38)

[I shall use the following two English translations of the Holy Qur'an: A.
Yusuf Ali, (Ali, Abdullah Yusuf: The Glorious Qur'an: Text, Translation and
Commentary. Leicester, 1978) and M. Pickthall (Pickthall, Mohammad
Marmaduke: The Meaning of the Glorious Koran, New York, 1963).]

This message and promise has been communicated by God to all mankind, all
children of Adam, as the Qur'an explains:

'O ye children of Adam! Whenever there come to you apostles from amongst
you, rehearsing My signs unto you those who are righteous and mend (their
lives) on them shall be no fear nor shall they grieve' (Al-Qur'an 7:35).

The Qur'an ("Qor-Ann") is a Message from Allah to humanity. It was
transmitted to us in a chain starting from the Almighty Himself (swt) to the
angel Gabriel to the Prophet Muhammad (saas). This message was given to the
Prophet (saas) in pieces over a period spanning approximately 23 years (610
CE to 622 CE). The Prophet (saas) was 40 years old when the Qur'an began to
be revealed to him, and he was 63 when the revelation was completed. The
language of the original message was Arabic, but it has been translated into
many other languages.

The Qur'an is one leg of two which form the basis of Islam. The second leg
is the Sunnah of the Prophet (saas). What makes the Qur'an different from
the Sunnah is primarily its form. Unlike the Sunnah, the Qur'an is quite
literally the Word of Allah, whereas the Sunnah was inspired by Allah but
the wording and actions are the Prophet's. The Qur'an has not been expressed
using any human's words. Its wording is letter for letter fixed by no one
but Allah.

Prophet Muhammad (saas) was the final Messenger of Allah to humanity, and
therefore the Qur'an is the last Message which Allah has sent to us. Its
predecessors such as the Torah, Psalms, and Gospels have all been
superceded. It is an obligation - and blessing - for all who hear of the
Qur'an and Islam to investigate it and evaluate it for themselves. Allah has
guaranteed that He will protect the Qur'an from human tampering, and today's
readers can find exact copies of it all over the world. The Qur'an of today
is the same as the Qur'an revealed to Muhammad (saas).

The end, or purpose, of the law is shown in I Timothy 1:5, "Now the end of
the commandment is charity [love] out of a pure heart, and of a good
conscience, and of faith unfeigned." Ecclesiastes 12:13, "Let us hear the
conclusion of the whole matter:

Fear God, and keep His commandments: for this is the whole duty of man."

Jesus demands obedience to the Law of Moses ?till all things be
accomplished¦ (Matthew 5:18ff).


The minute details of the Law of Moses are to be followed until all
prophecies regarding Jesus and his kingdom come to pass.

The ?jot or one tittle¦ were two of the smallest components in the Hebrew
lettering system. The term became a proverbial statement which denoted
observing minute details of the Law.

The scribes and Pharisees were recognized as ?righteous¦ people who
scrupulously kept the Law of Moses.
These verses clearly indicate that the Law of Moses was currently in full
force.

Jesus was born, lived and died under the Law of Moses (Galatians 4:4).
The Law that Jesus perfectly kept was the Mosaic Law (Hebrews 4:15; I Peter
2:22).
Jesus delivered scorching condemnation to those who did not so keep the Law
(Matthew 23:13ff).
