Very nice! You clamped down the planer and move the wood to plane it?
I learn something new today. Never thought that way before.
Cheers,

John

Hey John... are you a woodworker too? Please don't tell me you've
caught the luthier bug. :-)

a variation of the shooting board idea. That big old wood plane
probably cost a fortune.

You are a man of many... talents.

One of my ex students has it bad. He has been teaching a CG making
class at the local WoodCraft and is on the board of the local luthier
group.

When the students finish the guitars we get together and play them.
Lots of fun with some very interesting people. One systems engineer in
the class has posted here but none of them have gone as far nor as
fast as my student, who seems almost obsessed.

In fact he's is going to Spain to see all the places he read about
in the Romanillos biography of Torres. His luthier teacher was the
first female to study with Romanillos and he's made a number of
guitars based on various models in that book.

Sorry to hear you are so prone to such a seductress because she can
take you away from playing like it did for my ex student and you can
see how that's working for him. :-)

I find woodworking very addictive but therapeutic. I have to admit I
try to play more than to build. There is some sort of instant
gratifcation with playing a piece of music. With woodworking I enjoy
more on the proccess as there are so many variables and
unpreedictability involved.
