The only thing that I can tell I did wrong when re-installing those
pop bumpers (or is it "jet bumpers") is that I installed the little
washer that goes on the leg of the rod/ring assembly on the coil side
rather than the playfield side. You wouldn't think that would be
enough to cause the rod/ring assembly to wobble... but maybe so.

It can be. At least you don't call them BUMBERS..... never could reason
why people did that.

The washers are very important as the ring can jam down into the metal,
shearing the threads off in an extreme case.

I always lose them somewhere.
