So what's the hoops here? Is it JSB making a remark about CPE Bach when he did copy the fugue from the PFA and ... he included a E# in the score as a pay back time?
You ought to be be semi serious here and help me clarify the mater. I Won't sleep (fading in my fading serene Prussian blue right night) if you do not!
Anxiously (well ... semi-seriously) waiting for a clarification.

I don't know, other than CPE was a transitional (Gallant?) composer
for someone who looked upon JSB as the equivalent of Monteverdi.
I suspect JSB was annoyed by his kid's new fangled music.
What ever you do, don't google "Prussian Blue"
