FUX News answer to getting the economy moving again: Bomb Iran

Harry Hope

6/12/2006 5:25:00 PM

It seems that the stock market hasn't been doing so well recently, but
never fear!

The folks over at Fox News have figured out a way to get the Dow Jones
Industrial Average moving again.

It's simple, really: Bomb Iran.

During the June 5 edition of Your World with Neil Cavuto, Jonathan
Hoenig (a member of the Fox News "Cashin' In" crew) said, "if you want
to see the Dow go up, let's get the bombers in the air and neutralize
this Iranian threat." http://mediamatters.org/items/20...

There it is folks:

the conservative idiot's economic agenda to get our country moving
again.

Apparently managing the economy really isn't that difficult.

Don't worry about all that complicated liberal mumbo-jumbo about
deficits and taxes and regulations and wages and all that.

Whenever there's a downturn, just dump a few thousands tons of live
ordinance on some brown people halfway around the world, and the Dow
will shoot right back up!

WAR IS THE ANSWER in the Republican mind.

I might add that there are no more stupid opinions in the media than
those offered by FOX and newscorp.

Once in a while a conservative is lucid for a moment. Pat Robertson
commented that Islamic warriers are smart as they killed 2000 at the WTC
using borrowed aircraft and an expense account of $40,000 while W adds
up trillions of national debt on homeland security and foreign wars and
tax cuts so as to bankrupt our government.

I'm praying real hard for the US, or more than likely, Israel to bomb
the shit out of Iran.

The hard fact is that so long as Saddam remains in power, he threatens the
well-being of his people, the peace of his region, the security of the
world. The best way to end that threat once and for all is with a new Iraqi
government -- a government ready to live in peace with its neighbors, a
government that respects the rights of its people.

Ah so you have an answer for the old question: "Who would Jesus bomb."
You're disgusting.

If I remember correctly a news item some time ago, people behind the
terrorists even sold short airline shares before the attack. Course
manipulation of a kind SEC would never have expected.

If you are old enough to remember 1980´s, that Star Wars initiative
kind of high gear of arms race. Couldn´t of course match what the West
was doing, just put enormous strain on USSR resources, perhaps causing
communist system to collapse faster. Happy end, I would say.

But now this new kind of conflict, or maybe call it crime, requires
relatively little capital but is very expensive to prevent. In terms
of money, civil liberties etc. Very difficult to counter such threat
directly.
