2-3 months ago another 2 skyshards dropped for me in the Vale within a
few mins. So my stack of those grew to 8. Woot! I just need 2 more!
I found an addon named Rarity <http://www.curse.com/addons/wow/...
as I was curious about the droprate (yeah, I know its ridiculous low).
This addon keep tracks of your kills versus the droprate of many
specific items. Absolutely useless but interesting and fun. Since the
skyshards now are BoA I use my destro lock for aoe farming when areas
with loads of those Tricksters are up. Piss easy imho. :) Those
Tricksters has a low HP, does low damage (they're able to stun you btw),
runs around in groups and therefore are easy to aoe.

This morning I passed 5000 dead mobs in the Vale - mainly Tricksters -
according to this Rarity addon and not a SINGLE skyshards has dropped!

AAAAAARGH!!!!!

I have now deactivated the addon as it demoralizes me.

Well. My farming of like 5-600 Tricksters this morning I got 132 motes,
12 stacks of windwool bolts, 14 greenies for DE, a handful of grey items
for vendoring, a few cooking ingredients and almost 6 stacks of free
food for my melees. Thats fine. But I want 2 skyshards...

FINALLY! Did the vale dailies for VP cap and last last two skyshards
phreaking finally dropped within a few minutes from random mobs!! YAY!!! :D

Next part is making a group with old friends so I can get the mount. =)

I'm gathering VPs for the Prince quest line. I love how there is no
mechanism in the game to let you know how far along you are.

He is very easily solo able. Just need to get to a high spot and wait
till he comes by and zapp him with the created stone. That removes his
shield and nerfs the heck out of him. Then just hit him with what ever
you can. It's not a long fight. Once dead loot the body for his "reins"
and done.

Yes. 1.3m hp isnt much. Im sure I can solo him. But I prefer a tank
and healer for the fight as I simply dont want to risk 10 hard-farmed
skyshards just because I fail. :)

Afair you can check your progress through the achievement as you get an
ach for doing that part.

Oh well. Soloed him. The fight lasted for like 5-6 secs. When Alani
fell down the body got stuck in the "wall" of the mountain a bit too
high above the ground. Luckily I could loot it by jumping. =)

I'll double check. So far it says "Get 3,000 valor 0/1" or something.

Click the 'show progress' check box - it'll put the number you've gotten on the screen.

BTW: It's been nerfed I guess - used to be 6000.

Good. 3000 is 24 LFRs and 168 dailies over the course of three weeks.

I've been capping VP every week for months now. In order of decreasing time efficiency: Daily Scenario, Daily Heroic, LFR, dailies.

Doing the first 3 will get you about 230 VP/day, and take around 90 minutes to two hours.
