low fps after 5.2 - possible fix

Since 5.2 my fps got much worse. And especially LFRs were nightmares
with some huge random spikes in fights. Some addons like Recount and
Dominos (both which I use ofc) seems to be widely known to be some of
the causes to the low fps. Blizzard is looking this "bug". Going from
25-30 fps to 1 fps or less for several seconds in boss fights is not
fun. Luckily Im not a healer. :)
I have found a possible fix here:

Open config.wtf in your WTF folder in Notepad, add the following line at
the bottom of the file and save it:

SET fixedfunction "1"

My fps has improved as I havent seen any 1 fps moments since I added
that line. It could have been better as I still have some lag spikes,
but now its playable for me again - at least.

My system: intel 2670/4 cores cpu, plenty of memory, SSD and geforce 540M.

I forgot to mention that this fix can have a different behaviour on your
setup. So please read the thread carefully before you apply the fix. :)

Oh well. I decided to do a little research on this line. It seems to
be an old fix going straight back to 2010. It disables shaders in the
game (and puts more stress on your cpu), it can cause some games to
crash etc..
Anyhoo! According to evil tongues setting the value to "0" (zero)
should make the game perform even better. Im gonna test that later and
see the results. :)
