Hallow's End this and that

Just a small set of anecdotal examples to draw from but the Headless
Horseman event seems a lot easier than Coren Direbrew. I only have one
character high enough to participate. I may push another one to at least
89 but there is so much else to be doing. Still hoping to see the mount
drop. I saw one ring appropriate for my character but lost the roll.

There is a new set of places in Panderia to go trick or treating. Some
of them are in phased parts of the game so you will need to do a certain
set of quests to unlock them. I ran into that only in Mistfall Village
this year but had the same issue with Twilight Highlands last year.

Trick or treating at each pumpkin no matter where gives gold (9 I think)
and 60000 guild rep. The gold easily covers flight costs if you do it
that way. I have 2 personal banker builds I am trying to get to level 5
for the extra tab and my other guild I have 6 toons in and it is almost
to level 16. I probably won't give to much active game time to doing
lots of pumpkins but over the next 2 weeks I will do as many as I can on
as many toons as I can by simply setting them on the flight path to the
next location while doing other stuff on the computer or in the house.

Agree! Only done it once but it was miles easier than any Direbrew
attempt, thank goodness. And I was lucky in that my ring dropped first
time (and the tank didn't outroll me :-P)

Yeah, people are saying one in northen Kun'Lai has that issue too, was
fine for me but I've done all quests there. Also broken is one in
Arathi Highlands for Alliance; it's on the achievement but nowhere to
be found ingame, hopefully a hotfix will come soon...

I love events like that, very easy guild exp :-) And decent exp for
non-max lvl characters too, I'm running my ironman character around
all the non-Pandaria ones at present as an exp boost for her, since
I'm expecting questing to get harder the higher that character gets.

With my 89 healer my wife's 89 rogue and my son's 89 tank and whoever happened to random along the Headless Horseman kicked ours asses in a serious manner.

On two fight we got him below 5 % however with 8 pumkins running around plus whatever else is going on the damage got too overwhelming despite saving and using the most powerful HoT that heals all to full. After the heal ups the damage was unsurmountable.

Several times in phase 1 the mana use was virtually minimal to zero. Heal uses hardly any mana and the free heal on surge of light or whatever its called kept my mana bar at pretty much full.

But I don't know what was going on in phase 2, either he hit harder or his previous hits acted like sunders and weakened armore or the AoE on the conflgarations were too much. The damge was ridiculous and it became a wasteland of mana use to keep every body up without using the ultimate heals that I was saving for phase 3.

We tried a total of 9 times with all failures. Tyler did a nice job tanking.. I wish I could know if there is anything I should change regarding the heals but it seemed to matter not. Even when I did have plenty of mana left in phase 3 the damage was like a hurricane on a candle.

One time we did well and my wife's 89 had higher DPS than the 2 90s. So that time was probably the one that might have worked if we had better 90s.

As Bill Murray said in Ghostbusters "MOTHER PISS BUCKET"!

OH! OH! OH!

We are going to get to 90 and then try it next weekend.

We are not even going to bother trying to level a secodn toon to 89. The fight is ridiculous.

Last time I said Coren Dirbrew could kiss my keg.

The time I say that Blizz can kiss the Headless Horesman's pumpkin.

OH! OH! OH!

None of my PUGs for this event have had any problem bringing the boss
down. It's definitely harder at 90 now than it was at 85 last year,
though.

Question: I only get one chance/toon/day of getting the Reins loot,
correct?

The conflagrate hits people near the person with it on, so if the
group is full of idiots who don't move and expect an 89 healer to have
the mana to heal 3-4 people at once, then yeah, the dmg may be a bit
much! Encourage them to spread out a little if possible.

Also worth glyphing your Lightwell to a Lightspring, then it'll
automatically heal people under 50% health which is a big help when
everyone's taking damage at once.

Ah! That'll be why I couldn't click that lightwell in an instance the
other day. :)

Doesn't Dispel Magic get rid of Conflagration? Or is it Purify now that will do that.

Sometiems changes are worse than nerfs

And wow a lightwell that's a SmartBomb? Nice.

Thanks

Hehe yep! In general, more people don't click it than do click it so
I'm glad it's got the autoheal option now, wish it was still clickable
as well though since it'll train even more people to not click it and
just make the glyph compulsory :-P
