Theramore, GONE!

Lewis

So, seriously, Theramore is gone?

The flight point still shows on the map, can I no longer fly there?

Given the gryphon master is dead, I'd be interested to know if you
still can! If you haven't done the event, then yep, all is as normal,
but if you have... I'd expect things to be very much changed when you
get there. I've heard mages who had the teleport:Theramore spell can
still use it but get dropped off rather high up in the air (oops)

Ah, apparently, I'm reading there's a bronze dragon hanging out on the
road to the west of Theramore now, who can be talked to to return to
"the past", so anyone who missed some quests etc can still do them.
Nice touch! :-)

So where does the boat from Menethil harbour go now? In the last expansion
they took away Auberdine, this time round it's Theramore. If I were living
in a Kalimdor Alliance harbour town, I'd get the heck out of it before the
next expansion ;-)

Come to think of it, considering Southshore's fate, I'd get out of any
alliance harbour town right now.

Cheers

I'd guess, to the ruins of Theramore. It's still on the map, just... a
rather large crater lol. I may be entirely wrong though, will have to
go and have a look! Not too useful if you want to go anyplace beyond
Theramore, given the flight master is dead.

Yeah, Feathermoon got flattened with the Cataclysm too, although it
was quickly rebuilt (I'm impressed how fast the night elves can grow
those trees, you'd think it'd always been there... :-P)

Hehe yeah, only Stormwind appears safe!

Hm, have you looked at the part that has gaping holes in the wall,
smoldering debris and a steep drop to the sea? I guess it all depends on
your definition of "safe" ;-)

Lol true, was more thinking of the fact it's unlikely to get invaded
at least ;-) I'd actually forgotten that minor detail, got too used to
it!

Well, I queued for the scenario last night. Was told that the average
waiting time was 1 hour (back to the good old random dungeon queueing
times?) while every once in a while I saw somebody advertising they needed
"1 more" in /2. I whispered them all but never go an invite but after 20
minutes was placed in a random group. I watched the cut scene with the Zepp
dropping the bomb and by the time that was finished, the other two in the
group had already started clearing mobs on the pier. I joined them and we
easily wiped the trash mobs away. Suddenly the paladin was dead. Then the
other hunter was dead, then I was dead. I turns out there was a "boss" on
that pier :-) Yeah, I know, the minimap shows a skull, duh! Once we all
realised that, we proceeded a bit more carefully and the rest of the
scenario was a walk in the park. The final confrontation between Jaina and
the last boss was fun to see, it seems Garrosh crossed the line with the
destruction of Theramore, she's really upset now :-)

I got some fireworks out of my loot bag while the other hunter got an
iLvl384 gun. That would have been nice, but then come next week I'm sure
I'll find a nice green gun to replace that...

I have only been on twice in the last week and both times failed to get a
spot in an /lfr raid, maybe people are slacking off now that MoP is just
about to arrive...

Cheers

Yep, she is seriously pissed off! She lost a lot of good friends in
that bomb, it's a real shame the scenario didn't show the battle
before the bomb tbh, I'd expected a lot more from the Alliance side,
having read the book; it manages to miss out pretty much all of the
story and lore, oh well. It's still a pretty fun event, just a bit of
a letdown for me!

Think most people are doing the scenario tbh, seems fairly easy to get
groups for them.

Although once again I'm reminded why I hate pugs... try to be helpful
and tell someone we can just leave a captain who aggroed after we'd
rigged a barrel, as it'll leash, he says no, I say yes, I've done it
plenty of times, he won't agree so we have to kill it anyway, fair
enough. Later on, 3rd member of the group aggroed some stuff and first
guy had a go at me saying I've "done it lots of times" but still
aggro. Erm, I'm not the one who aggroed (In any case when I run with
my bf we kill the patrolling packs instead of skipping them, I hate
skipping packs, it's just stupid when they patrol and aggro so easily
but it seems everyone else has the gogogo mentality and can't stand to
kill 4 extra mobs, sigh).

And he wouldn't let it go, jeez, think he maybe finally twigged when
the other guy died and I started ressing, having never been in combat,
but wouldn't admit it even then, just claimed he'd been talking to the
other guy all along (despite having a go in response to my replies...
yeah right). Upset me enough that I then did aggro (another stupidly
skipped pack...) and he gave another sarky comment and ran off to let
me solo them, bleh. I dunno why I ever pug stuff frankly, it's just
not worth it. People suck.
