Not entirely, but the totem bar has. According to Blizz, on the
"What's changed" tab of your skills, totems are now meant to be more
short-term and situational.

Yeah and I guess it is going to be time for Macro-City in that respect. I liked the old one click 4 totems down that they ahve now denied us. TDo they honestly expect us to click 4 times to get the totems down.

"Hey Shaman your DPS sucks"
"But I have to get 4 totems down now in 4 clicks"
"Learn to play noob"
"Kick em from the group"
"He's history"

I shall create a one click macro that pops down 4 totems. Of course this presumes that it is actually possible.

Meh, it probably is. Thankfully my shaman is more of my #3 toon than anything else but there are times she comes in handy because with Tyler tanking and my wife healing there are times where she likes to have my shaman along to bust in some extra healing on our young lad who is tachnically not the leetest tank in the fleet.

I think most the buffs are auras now not totems, so it's unlikely to
need 4 up at a time. I haven't actually played my shaman yet but
that's how I understand it anyway, they're supposed to be situational,
not always up.

It is a rarity to have more than 2 totems up at any particular time.
Most of the time this is your fire totem and usually something like HST
at times to help with healing, Earthgrab, etc.

It's not like you can drop both elementals at once anymore anyways.

I don't know yet but since I would drop 4 prior to partch 5 i would expect that it would be easy to find 4 now.

Your most powerful air totem now has a 10 second duration on a 5min cd.
Your most powerful fire totem now has a 1 minute duration on a 5min cd,
and your non-elemental ones haven't changed since Cata.
Your earth totems are now situation for slow/rooting, aoe
fear/charm/sleep removal, and an earth elemental that can't be dropped
the same time as fire.
Your water totem has a 15 second duration on a 30 second cd.

In short, you won't ever be dropping 4 totems at once, nor would you
ever want to.

From Blizzard itself in the "What has changed?" tab: "Totems no longer
provide long-term buffs. All totems have short-term, situational benefits."
