Durability?

John B. Matthews

Hello,
I've started playing World of Warcraft again after a lenghty pause. But
now I can't find the durability % of my equipment. Didn't it used to be
among the stats? Or maybe I used to have it on an addon, I only have
auctionator now, but you're supposed to see it without addon's right?

Must have been an addon, in the default UI you can see the durability
of each item by mousing over it, but not the total %.

you can use titan panel and the bar has the % on it along with what ever
else you want to put on the bar

I'm guessing that you may have been using Cosmos, which included the
DurabilityStatus mod. It showed some value representing your "overall"
durability as a single figure in a small, moveable box.

If you were (actually, even if you weren't) and still want it, you can
still go to Curse and download it
(http://www.curse.com/addons/wow/durabi...). The TOC's probably
back-level, but personally I'm still using it, and I've never noticed
any problems with it.

Cheers - Ian

Actually I remember now that it was Titan Panel, as Matthew mentioned.
At some point there was an annoying bug that made a panel over some of
the spell casting buttons so I couldn't cast some of the spells, so I
had to uninstall it. I'll look at durabilitystatus though, thanks :)

In wow it is just an indicator of future repair cost and it reminds you anyway.
At some level 25%? on one item ?you get an outline under the minimap indicating repairs
needed..
Not worth worrying much about unless you are in a very long fight.

Unlike some games dura doesn't affect anything until it is 0%, even then you don't lose
the gear just the stats.

Some games have a roaring trade in applique kits, sharpening stones etc to make gear
overdura because e.g.a dull blade does less damage and the chance of having an epic
vaporise under a series of crushing blows is worrying.

You could have used one of the alternatives to Titan Panel, like
ChocolateBar <http://www.curse.com/addons/wow/chocol..., Bazooka
<http://www.curse.com/addons/wow/b..., NinjaPanel
<http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info11884-NinjaPane...,
DockingStation
<http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info11831-DockingStationDispla...

Just make sure the plug-ins use LibDataBroker (LDB), because this will
make it possible to shift between the infobar/panels with ease when your
favorite is broken.

The one showing durability info is "Broker_DurabilityInfo"
