Diablo III client code

If you signed up for the WoW Annual Pass (and by extension D3 for
free), check your Battle.net account. You may well find, as I did,
that you now have an active Diablo II subscription (and via that a
link to the client downloader).

If you didn't sign up yet, and haven't pre-ordered, but still feel the
urge to get ahead of the crowd, the following page has links
purporting to be to the various client downloaders. I can't vouch for
the others, but (to the best of my ability to do a visual,
character-by-character-compare in Wordpad) the EU english URL is
indeed the one that Battle.net sent me to. Caveat emptor, however - if
you're not sure, don't do it.

OK - having downloaded it, it's technically the client code
*installer* that's available. Doesn't look like full install can be
completed until the game goes live.

I believe I read it'll be possible to install it on May 14th, the day
before release; think they'll update the client download then to
include the bits necessary for full installation (plus the latest game
patch) then.

For those pre-downloading, Blizz broke the English and German language
installers and you need to download new ones:

http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/... has the relevant
links. Think it's the English EU installer with the problem and not
US, since it's only posted on the EU forum.

Oh, brilliant - story of my life. Ah well, at least it's only a 50Mb
fix. Many thanks for drawing my attention to that, Cat - much
appreciated.
