Why did blizzard fire the merciless gear designer? :

Today I went to check the the pvp gear vendor in netherstorm that sells TBC
pvp gear and what I noticed is that the merciless sets are by far the best
looking sets (in my opinion) then most of all the other pvp sets ever. First
thing I did after going there with my priest is buy the full pvp set and it
looks just amazing, I actually spent 10 min just looking at my priest after
transmogrifying...
Then I checked a few other characters and I noticed on most of them the
merciless set (season 2) and vengeful (season 3) look really amazing and the
rest of the sets for most classes is horrible...
Now I'm working on honor to buy the merciless shaman set as it look better
than any pvp shaman set untill now, the vengeful isnt bad either but rest is
terrible, most of wotlk pvp gear is ugly as hell :(
I cant help but wonder where did the guy in blizzard that designed those
sets go and why couldnt they find someone decent like him...
Now for the new arena season (cataclysmic gear) it appears they have a new
designer but some sets look ok and some look just terrible, I would be
ashamed to walk around in the cataclysmic shaman set for example, thank god
they gave us transmogryfication.

Back in S2 and S3, the pvp sets were a recolour of the pve sets, since
then I believe they've had different looks to pve gear (they certainly
do *now* and I think they did in WotLK too). I guess Blizz thought pvp
folk wanted to look different to pve'ers, but I agree the sets look
crap, I've never had decent pvp gear on my priest since S2. No prizes
for guessing what I plan to transmog my pvp set into... :-P

Personally I just don't like more recent sets anyway, there's only the
odd pve sets I like since TBC - almost all my favourites are TBC or
classic era, priest T1, T2, T5, warlock T1, T5, rogue T1, T2, druid
T6, paladin T2... maybe it's just my tastes haven't gone the same way
as the designers but I find newers sets overly detailed and ugly - all
the fine details in the world are no good when it looks crap from a
distance!

I preferred the bold colours and looks which stated at a glance "I am
a [class]". I get that people don't always want to be pigeonholed into
stereotypes but T5 was the last set priests had that looked priestlike
(I'll grant T6 looked awesome and the white recolour of it looks
priesty enough for me!) for example, there's not many druid sets I've
seen that made me think of druids and nature since T6 either (T8 was
ok in one of its colours...). I know warlocks have had plenty evil
looking sets and warriors tend to look right, but some classes could
sure use a set or two that actually feels like the class IMO.
