Just soloed Kael'thas Sunstrider

Yesterday in AV I saw a shaman with netherbane 1h axe (check it on wowhead,
it looks amazing). The axe drops from Al'ar in tempest keep.
Today I went with my blood DK to kill Al'ar. The Al'ar kill took only 2
tries and I did it within 20 min. The reason why I died is because I didn't
read the tactic and I didnt know I have to jump down when he flies in the
middle of the room in phase 1.
After Al'ar was down (he didn't drop my axe...) I thought... I wonder if
Kael'thalas was soloable.
So I went to wowhead and read some blood DK managed to solo him (some other
classes too), then without reading the tactic (just saw a video) I went to
give it a shot.

First wipe:
I managed to get to phase 3 without any prooblems thinking oh but why did he
kite the adds to the entrance... then in phase 3 all 4 adds spawned the same
time near me. In short this was wipe number 1 since every add has some CC
and 4 on you at once means death.

Second wipe:

After I watched the video again this time with commentary and explantion I
kited the adds to the entrance and got to phase 4 without any problem at
all, this is the phase where you actually fight Kael, thalas. I didn't get
the part about flamestrike well so kael casted flamestrike and I got 1
shot, it hit me for 80k hp with like 35k overkill (I was at 50% hp that
moment).
What was blizzard thinking? Tanks in TBC has like 15k hp when they were
doing kael so why make a 120k dmg spell I don't understand.

Third wipe:
I run back and watched the video again... this time I even went to actually
read some tactics. Apparently you need to have the pvp trinket equipped
because if kael disorients you and casts flamestrike on top of you the pvp
trinket if the only thing that can save you. This time I made it to phase 5
the final phase. Kael pulls you to himself and casts a buff on you that
allows you to levitate.. instead of running away I started dpsing him, kael
put a debuff on me that reduced my HP by 90% making my 164k hp blood DK a
16k blood DK and then he casted a 18k fireball on me 1 shotting me.

Fourth wipe:
I started the whole thing yet again got to phase 5 and my ISP decided to
restart my router (I have no idea why) so I get DC, 1 min later I was dead
so I had to restart. (25 min lost)

Fifth wipe:
I did it all again... got to phase 5 was tanking kael in al'ar's room when
suddenly around 25% he decided to shoot me high in the air... so high that I
got killed from fall damage.

The kill:
I did it all again and this time everything worked perfectly! Kael'thalas
finally went down. Even this time he kicked me in the air but I had a bit
more health so I survived the fall and used pet sacrifice to get some health
back.
He dropped some pretty useless loot, no mount :( and 300g to cover for my
repairs.

This was 1 of the most epic experiences I had in wow ever, this is a way
quests should be made not those mobs you can kill with your eyes closed and
without even having a talent spec (99% of the quests can be completed by
autoattacking and wanding).
Everything took around 4h, each try took 20-25 min, and watching the video
took 10 min each time + tactic reading.
I suggest to everyone that has a blood DK to try kill him at least once
because this is a thing they will remember a long time. There are some other
classes that can solo it too, I think I saw BM hunter and don't know what
else.

Before this the hardest thing I have ever done in wow was soloing the
occulus last boss the 1 you fight on dragons (also on lvl 85) but I think
this took the first place in hard stuff to do :)

One of the animated items that is "dropped" in the event is a
legendary shield. on use, it offers the tank pretty much full
immunity from the flamestrike. Blizz was making sure you didn't
resistance gear/pot/Stamina your way through the mechanic.
