Print / Capture Screen

I was wanting to save the image of my character on the "Enter Room"
screen but have not found a way to do this. Print screen does not
work as it actually copies the actual desktop screen, not the WoW
screen. Is there any way of doing this?

Print screen works for me, you just don't see the Screenshot Captured
or what
ever the message is. Check the wow SS folder after you try it.

If you run in Windowed mode, you may be able to use Alt-Printscreen to
grab the currently focused window, then paste that into Paint or some
other image editor. You can then edit the window widgets off of it.

What do you mean by "Enter Room"? Do you mean the screen where you're
choosing which character to play?

Print Screen has always worked for me. Do you play in windowed mode
or fullscreen mode? Do you have two monitors?

It's "Print Screen" on a PC? It's F12 on a Mac. I thought the PC was the
same.

Yes, PCs have a keyboard key labeled "Print Screen". On my keyboard it's
immediately to the right of F12.

Thanks to all that answered. Print screen here wasn't doing what I
was used to it doing, that being able to use it as a "cut and paste."

Strange.
It does for me, and I use windowed full-screen mode.

There must be something special about your computer, or the way your
game has been set up.

Dual monitors?

It was working for him; he just didn't know that the images were saved
directly in the Screenshots directory.

He was used to Print Screen working as it does in other applications:
saving an image to the clipboard which you must then paste into an
image editor in order to save as a file.

Yes, I got that.
And my post was meant to communicate that this DOES work that way as
well. When you hit PrtScr the screenshot gets saved to your screenshot
folder AND it is copied to your clipboard, ready to be pasted into
anything you want it pasted into.
