Mask achievement easy mode

If you didn't see it mentioned int he "Cry for mercy" thread, all the
masks can now be bought with candy and the candy drops in the loot bag
from killing the Headless horseman once each day and from trick or
treating the pumpkins next to innkeepers. There may be other vendors for
the masks but I know there is one in the courtyard outside Undercity by
the Wickerman. As far as I can tell, all the masks are for sale at 2
candies each. Blizz has gone from frustratingly difficult to
disappointingly easy.

Most of my alts have as good or better rings. So besides doign the
various achievements on my alts it looks like most of Hallow's End will
be hoping for the horse mount to drop - never have gotten it on any of
my toons.

Shame - Probably won't even run it on my main raider as she has the
mount and a 365 and 378 ring(s)... My DK has the mount (which of all
toons, seems obligatory for a DK to have that mount), but could ust the
rings. My rogue & healer could use better rings, and are missing the
mount. All this means is that my DK will get the mount 3 times and will
have to be deleted, while the other two get zip...lol

Yeah I think they went a bit too far the other way with this one. It
did need improved from the previous situation where I spent 3 years at
it and still didn't complete it (this would've been my 4th year of
spamming innkeeper trick or treating) but it's now so easy it's crazy,
I got it straight away on my main, bought a couple, rest dropped while
I cleared the Cataclysm and Northrend achievements. Working my shaman
through all the bucket achievements right now, she had about 8 masks
from last year, is up to only 4 remaining and still got Outland to do,
so may well have another drop or two without needing to buy any - and
I've got tons of treats to buy with. I dunno, it's nice being able to
get it, but feels too soft now, bit of a letdown tbh!

The rings will be pretty nice for my alts, not sure how many I'll run
through the achievements but I'll try and do a few since it's easy
guild rep and experience - so far I've gained 1.6 million guild exp
today and my shaman's got 4.4k rep and counting, very nice indeed!
Hoping for the mount on my warlock, just because it's awesome for a
warlock, and on my priest who's the mount collector, but no way it'll
happen for the priest lol, his luck is nil. Maybe the warlock will get
lucky though!

First attempt the DPS ring dropped for me last night, so I was pretty
happy. Got a broom in the pumpkin too, so i'm only after the mount now.
Can you get the mount from both the boss and the pumpkin?

I believe the boss himself only drops the rings; the other loot is just
from the daily bag.

That's my understanding also, I've run a load of times trying to get
my rings (definition of bad luck: caster shaman, so choice of 2 useful
rings, spirit one dropped twice, hit one 5 times, I lost all 7
rolls... finally got the hit one after the 8th caster drop!) and only
seen rings on the boss. Seen Hallowed Helm, epic sword, tricky treats
and masks in the pumpkin so far, and I know the mount and plate head
can drop there too, think also the Sinister Squashling (it did in
previous years anyway)

Speaking of the Squashling, it and two new pets (Feline Familiar and Little
Wicker Man) are purchasable for 150 Tricky Treats apiece.

At least you got something appropriate to drop - out of 15 runs I have
only been able to roll on one item. At least I won it. Still plenty of
time.

Lol true but to lose the roll 7 times in a row... argh! Wondering how
long it'll take my other characters to get theirs!

Speaking of trick treats, I was counting mine, and wondering if I could get
enough for the cat, the wicker and the broom, until I noticed that the
broom has a limited existence and is not a real mount (it's not added to
the mount tab). So it will be "only" 300 treats.

Funny thing, my paladin could not get his reward for saving Goldshire from
the flame because he still had last year unique reward, a bag (with treats,
a mask and a broom). Once the bag was opened, I could get the reward.

I now feel even better about my ring win on my first attempt :D
The broom is excellent, just a shame it only lasts 14 days, and you
can't use it in battlegrounds :(
