Frenzyhearth, Northrend exposure and new forsaken

Lancelet

10/17/2011 8:02:00 AM

The travel from exalted Oracle to exalted Frenzyhearth is now over for my
druid. At 1870 rep a day (with the guild perk), it was not so long. So I'm
back at 54 exalted rep.

But I was not in the mood of doing anything else, so the druid stayed
parked in Sholazaar for the week, with one or two trips to find some rare
mobs (I found three more, a spider and Grieven in Zul'drak, and Aotona in
Sholazaar). I missed Vyragosa (blue dragon in the peaks) twice. The first
time, I was there with an alt, in the middle of a roleplay investigation
about the plague with some friends, and thought it was this rare with the
mount, so killed it immediatly. And the day after that, I found Vyragosa
again, with the druid, but was already dead.

I started a new forsaken hunter on another realm (no more space on my main
realm). I already had a forsaken hunter on this realm, but it was from the
start of cataclysm, and he was only level 7, so a new start was better.

I'm in Gilneas now, level 18 after 4-5 hour of /played, with a little trip
in RFC. Very nice questing, especially in Silverpine.

And I finished Fallout : New Vegas. Well, two endings, at least, I still
have some things to do there :)

That's all folks.

I've never really got the whole, alts with same configuration, business
:D I don't have enough time to play all the different classes, let
alone the same class but with a slight twist... ;)

For me, current progress is:
L85 Goblin MM Hunter (Grobbler)
Tol Barad is now at honored. Bought the polearm, and i'm currently
pvp'ing like mad before the season ends, to get all the epic pvp gear.
So next season I should still be viable to start with. 3000 honor
gained yesterday, about a 6-7 rounds and a TB to get that, so i'm pretty
close to getting the crossbow. Then I'll need about 8000 honor for the
rest of the armour and trinkets.
Then after that, I have no idea :D Still need to do Vash, and to level
my LW to 525, so those will be next on the list. Plus more honor for
the honor heirlooms for all my alts, before I play them more.

L51 Tauren Holy Priest (Mooly)
A few pvp rounds as Discipline, but mainly still instancing the whole
way. Not done anything with him this week.

What's next?
More Moolly instances.
A new alt. I have an Orc warrior which I plan to level as Arms and PVP
as much as possible, but I want to do the Forsaken areas next.
I might bin the Orc Warrior as he is only L11, and start again as
Undead, but I fancy a rogue or warlock, so maybe one of those.

It might be nice for all of us who are still here, to do a regular "what
are you up to and what's next" post on a monday? Should re-invigorate
the group a bit and get come conversation going :)

You'll never understand me then, I have 3 or 4 of every class I really
enjoy lol, keep wanting to try more low lvl zones and experiencing
them in classes/specs I enjoy is fun to me :-) Does mean I have 6
priests and 5 druids lol, may clear out some of the lower lvl ones
someday since only 2-3 or each are ever likely to reach high lvls :-P

Nice one :-) I got a bit bored of pvping while I still had a few blue
pieces but not that fussed, I'll replace those next season :-)

I enjoy both those classes so either will be a good option, both
should be fun to place through the Forsaken zones too :-)

Pretty good idea! I'm doing, um, not a lot :-P Haven't really played
this week, been out most the weekend so I've just logged on for
Jewelcrafting dailies (I am not really delighted to learn I have
another 204 days of those to do after 4.3 comes out... love the
concept of doing dailies to get recipes, but could it be a little
faster? Basically takes a year and a half of dailies to complete
either the WotLK or Cata recipe collections :-/) One achievement last
week though was *finally* getting round to finishing taking my druid
to exalted with Cenarion Circle, which completed the Guardian of
Cenarius title for him, very fitting for a druid :-)

Hallows End is due to start tomorrow, so plan is: log on every hour
possible to trick or treat with my main and see if I finally complete
A Mask For All Occasions. Suspect I won't, I was one short after last
year but four more got added :-( As well as that, run around visiting
candy buckets everywhere on as many alts as possible, enjoying easy
guild exp and rep - should push my shaman and warlock to pretty near
exalted and the guild a bit nearer lvl 7! Obviously Headless Horseman
runs or rings will be on the cards too (and my main mount collector
will yet again not see the mount drop lol - my druid and shaman both
got it last year, of course. Oh well, maybe my warlock will get it,
suits a warlock pretty well!). RNG-based holidays are a touch
frustrating at times ;-)

Also planning on more Molten Core runs (hm, need to go either tonight
or tomorrow before the reset), since I'm still looking for my priest's
T1 robe for his transmogrification set, got everything else I want but
it refuses to drop! 11 runs until exalted too, nice progress at least.
I also keep meaning to run through more low lvl zones on my main for
the quest achievements, suspect Hallows End will eat my time a bit
though, since I'll likely have a shot at getting the meta achievements
on some alts while I'm doing the running around for buckets. Should be
fun anyway!

I love PvP, it's my favourite part of the game, even with it being full
of idiots :D My guild is planning its first rated BG on Wednesday,
which will be a shock to the system I'm sure!

I'm looking more towards a rogue, but with my hunter and enhancement
shaman my highest characters, it would be nice to play a class that
wasn't looking for agility items!

Is there another boss like Coren Direbrew for Hallows End? All my years
of playing and I have never taken part in an of the seasonal stuff and
have no idea what each thing gets me :D

Hehe good luck! I've never tried one of those, could be fun, or you
could get steamrollered, depends how good your guild team is I guess!
I did some arena back in Burning Crusade days and enjoyed that, shame
the friends I ran with went back to Alliance, since I don't really
want to join up with total strangers to form a team so just haven't
done any since then. Not that we were any good, but we had fun even
while losing most our games ;-)

There is indeed, a lot of the seasonal events have bosses now, and
Hallows End has http://www.wowhead.com... the Headless Horseman
- his drops aren't on there yet since he hasn't been killed yet but
they'll be 365 ilvl epic rings, so pretty decent for gearing up with.
You'll also get a bag once per day which has a chance for pet or
mount, think his sword and helm might be in the bag as well, not
totally sure on that one. Quite a fun fight, you keep having to switch
target between the horseman and his head lol, but usually pretty easy
too, especially for ranged (have to say I hated that fight on my rogue
:-P)

I'm usually the same, but I did roll a second resto druid on the Horde
side. My daughter wanted to play a druid to quest with, which she does,
but I take it into dungeons to heal with it... As I didn't start healing
with my ally druid until level 80, I've found a couple techniques and
mental changes leveling a low resto druid who has experience at the high
end that I was able to incorporate that made me a better healer....

Plus, some players who have been around for a while might have had two
of the same class, like a druid for example, before dual spec'ing came
around, if they wanted a resto and a bear tank or kitty dps....

It kills me now to know I paid 1K to dual spec back when it came out.
Gold wasn't as easy to come by on my first toons as it is now... :)

I played a low-level resto Druid with some friends for a day of
gaming together. We had to reroll on a new server to ensure we
could all play on the same team.

We did instances from level 14 on up. We trained a new tank (the
newest player among us), and I healed. I'm not experienced at it,
and I found it really challenging.

We eventually started wiping on Lord Godfrey, the final boss of
Shadowfang Keep. Tank would die every time shortly after the
Pistol Barrage. In general, if he got a big spike of damage I
could not recover or save him from death (he died many times that
day).

When doing the same thing with a Paladin healer a long time ago
it was much, much easier. Oh well. Fun was had that weekend, and
a lot of Pizza was consumed.

Yup - That's why I'm finding it helpful...I'm leveling a Holy priest as
well and the low level Druid is a lot harder I found. The druid doesn't
have the "big fix" heal at that level. My lvl 32 priest at least has
flash heal if the tank gets whacked. At the higher level my raid resto
druid has a lot of hots I can throw up on the tank as well as taking
care of the group. TBH, it's been a month or so since I played the low
resto, but as I told a tank that bitched at me once for a wipe after he
tried to grab the entire room Hogger was in - "lmao - maybe I should
reforge? better gems? Look - I have the 3 healing spells and x amount
of mana and haste that bliz gives me. You can't pull the entire room
when all of us at level 18".

....And this was right after I healed a heroic Grim Batol run with my
upper resto druid...

The lower druid helped/is helping me not to be the "King of Overheals"
on my upper druid... :)

I don't have the wording readily at hand but I have used a targeting
macro for the head the last 2 years and put it in the area for all toons
which makes the fight a lot easier.
