Direbrew Trinkets are Sort of The Sukx!

When I get one for a toon that has a 318 item level trinket sitting in
there with their Firelands one then it is a very welcomed upgrade.

But I can't conclude conclusively that every one that drops should
replace the appropriate 359 item level.

We have a hutner with an Alchemists Stone +301 Agil with a +40 agil
gem and +10 bonus. I can't recall what it procs for.

The Chromium Coaster gives a bunch of crit rating and I think it has a
crit proc. When I swap them the crit on the hunter is higher with the
Stone and the Stone has better AP.

Perhaps the Coaster would be good in a boss fight where you want the
crit proc to give some burst damage however I wouldn;t exactly
consider a crit proc to be top of the line. First you have to proc it
then you have to crit while it is procced in order to even get the
actual benefit of it.

Bah! I'l let it sit in the inventory until I can get this thing
figured out.

Just my 2 centavos. If anyone has some pesos to throw in be my guest.

Those trinkets are just higher numbers of the same ones from WotLK,
before stats got changed about. So they aren't all ideal, since
nowadays raw stats are better than ratings - the healer one is
perfect, since it's intellect with a haste proc, but the crit ones
with ap/spellpower procs are outdated really and not ideal if you
already have good trinkets. Where they shine is for newly dinged folk
like my warlock, replacing greens, they're great! But for established
characters I think only the healer and maybe the tanky ones are much
good. Even the tank ones aren't amazing, my druid has the Tol Barad
and alch trinkets and I'm thinking I'm not too fussed about getting
the Brewfrest ones, one of the stamina ones would be nice but I think
I prefer my existing trinkets over the dodge one (that's not to say I
wouldn't take it if it dropped, but I won't be farming for it
specifically)

Yep - think I mentioned that I ran my mage through and got the 365
watch, then really compared it to my set up (which is a 365 moonwell
challis and a 359 Darkmoon Volcano card). The watch can't touch the
benefits I get from either of those, yet it would give me a higher
ilevel, so it's a "meh" piece. However, on my 2 week old 85 Lock?
replacing a 312(ish) trinket with that? oh yea...

Well, considering that level 84s can run that place, these trinkets
are great for them when they first ding 85.

I can't speak for the other trinkets, but the healer trinket is
amazing. Some Paladins (mostly ones who run 25-mans) opt for Mastery/
Crit, while others opt for Haste/Spirit. I run 10-mans, sometimes two-
healing them. This means I have to crank out heals on not just the
tank but the raid as fast as possible. I tried the Mastery setup, and
while my Illuminated Healing bubbles were much larger, I really,
really noticed the lack of Haste -- felt like I was casting in
molasses. So the Molten Front trinket isn't for me.

I reforged back into Haste. When the Egg trinket procs and I get
Infusion of Light, I can crank out a Divine Light, which is 60K when
it crits, in 0.63 seconds. Smexy.

Omg that is fast! And yeah I was delighted to get that trinket on my
priest, the Molten Front one is also nice for me, but I just swapped
out the Tol Barad one to fit my egg in, can always swap it back in if
I find myself low on regen anytime. The healer one is the only one
that's perfectly itemised though, all others are still great for
recently dinged/lowgeared folk but never going to compete with 359
epics otherwise.

Hehe yep, both my caster dps characters are either recently dinged or
not played much since ding, so both used the watch to replace a 318
Twilight Highlands green, massive upgrade so both very happy! Shaman
got it on first kill, nice luck :-) Priest got both caster dps one and
healy one (healy one is perfect itemisation, dps one is better for dps
than my healy trinkets at least), druid so far got nothing but I only
ran once and none strike me as major upgrades tbh. Got my first mount
today too, warlock got a ram and a heap of achievement spam followed
lol, hadn't realised it was the last I needed for the meta (was sure
the getting drunk in Dalaran one used to be in the meta? Isn't now,
apparently) What I want, is the kodo for both my priest and druid, but
no luck, of course ;-)
