My level 82 shaman was unable to queue for the Coren fight.

What about a level 83 ? And a level 84 ? Can they queue?

Had a level 84 in one of my runs last night - that's all I can tell ya.
Never saw anything lower.

Not sure if it's a item level or toon level thing....

If it's the same as Ahune, it'll be a lvl thing, with 84 the minimum -
my shaman dinged 84 during the event at Midsummer, so I can confirm it
was lvl based then.

Ok, thanks.

About the brewfest dailies:

With the Orgrimmar surroundings changes, I was wondering where to go to
get the three beer kegs. I had done the first quest to use different
speeds of the ram, and then was sent to the same place than last year
(looks like the quest text was not updated). Nobody there. So I left my
ram for my flight form and started looking for apple buckets.

I found the gobelin, near the little port on east. He did not mind that I
was not on a ram anymore, and threw me the beer. At that moment, I had
not noticed it. It's only when I went back to the quest giver to ask for
another ram, that I saw the quest count: 1/3 beer keg. So, I didn't asked
for another ram and finished the quest flying.

Then I had access to the daily quest, the one when you can get 2 or 3
token by beer, but this time, no flying : as soon as I left the ram, I
could not do it.

I was not planning to farm token this year, but I noticed that I don't
have the boots (100 token?) and there is a new item, a pony, for 200
tokens.

I will ask my guild if a summon of my level 82 is possible. I will need
five guildies, with one warlock, and one that agree to leave the group to
try it.

Yeah they really needed to update that one, took me some time to find
the new route, it's not at all clear! Best bet is to fly along it
looking for the barrels of apples before taking the ram over, there's
one in among the kinda army camp place near the one who gives the
quest, and another along the path way out towards the one who has the
beer, plus one next to each NPC. It's a harder route than it used to
be though, making no major mistakes I got 20 tokens yesterday, used to
get 30+ on a decent run :-/

The barking quest is harder than it used to be, too - locations within
Org are still the same, but the bit where you jump down from Valley of
Spirits you can't jump so easy now and basically have to take the
ramp, plus the Brewfest camp is set up a fair bit further west than it
used to be, so longer riding time. I used to complete it with 30 sec+
to spare in past years, now I have maybe 10 sec to spare. And yeah I
know you can dismount and fly once you complete it, but that doesn't
really seem in the spirit of the thing!

Yeah I'm curious about the pony as well. Lucky for me, they had buggy
quests with the stein so reset the lot, after I'd done them once, so
doing the initial quests got me a bunch of tokens and I don't need to
race the rams many times for my pony!

In my first foray into Brewfest I was able to accumulate 128
tokens or so. The weird part was the I got to do the beer
delivery three times: once for the introductory quest, and then
the daily twice in one evening. Maybe they are reseting it
regularly to compensate for bugs or something.

The apple barrels can be finicky. Sometimes I'll blast past and
get the buff, other times I'll run right over it and somehow miss
it. Have to pay attention and double-back sometimes.

Yeah last night I noticed the beer delivery reset not very long after
I'd done it, didn't bother repeating it but pretty handy - all the
introductory quests were reset for me too, which made getting tokens
very east indeed, I'm on 175 atm, so couple of dailies and I'm done!
:-)

They've always been like that, it's all the more annoying now since
the route is tougher and you ealkly can't afford to skip one, I'm sure
it used to be a little shorter since I could generally aim to miss
one, but trying that on now = exhausted ram :-/ It's often connected
to other people being around, strange as it seems, at least in past
years I often found it worked fine if I was on my own, but if about 5
people tried to use the barrel at once, some wouldn't get it. Not
always though, I've been on my own and still not got it, sigh.

Not sure if this helps, but I noticed my level 83 hunter completed
Direbrewfest last year. I don't play him often so he doesn't get out
much. Anyway, I'm sure he was level 83 at this time last year.
