Grounding Totem question

I'm starting to get more into PVP on my Shaman, and I have a question
about Grounding Totem.

If I drop a Grounding Totem while an enemy is in the process of casting
a spell, can that spell be caught by the totem? Or does the totem only
catch spells that were cast after it was dropped?

If the spell is not already flying towards you, the grounding totem
will catch it. So yes, if the enemy caster is still in the process of
casting, the grounding totem will catch his spell.
