When does the Midsummer festival end?

I know it ends today, I believe - But I always get confused with Bliz
event calendars. Sometimes it seems that you get the full day the day
it ends, others it seems it ends at 3am and the calendar shows that it's
the last day, but it's really already ended earlier that day.

The only reason I ask is that I have 325 flame blossoms (or whatever
they are called) and I wanted to pick up the pet at 350. I can get that
tonight no prob, BUT I need tonight. If it's ended already I'm going to
cry.. lol

I've not been going out of my way to acquire the blossoms. I only run
the instance every day and do 2 dailies throwing torches and juggling
the 10 times thing, knowing that I s/b able to get to 350 with no sweat.
The only thing is I went away last week for 3 days, and missed those,
so I'm a tad behind. I'm close enough to 350, that I'll spend a few
minutes to go find some flames to honor or desecrate to get the last few
if needed....

I checked the calender in game the day before yesterday because I was
in the same situation,
and the end was monday at 23:59. I play on EU realm.

It was over this morning at 5:35 AM EST on Skywall-US. I was
hoping to save my remaining blossoms for next year.

I had a quite good time during this holiday, doing the cooking
and fishing and festival dailie, and honoring/desecrating fires
as I passed them while leveling Archeology. I got my Druid from
76 to 79 in sparse play time during this holiday.

The Valentines day event is the only other one I've experienced
that's as big an easy XP-grab.

My druid and shaman both got over 6k guildrep each doing the bonfires,
great exp gains! I probably should've run some on lower lvl characters
that needed exp as well, but it took me a while on the two I did it
on. Gained about 1/3 of a guildlevel during the time as well, not bad
:-)

NOOOOoooooo!!!

Damn....So close...

I was told that the blossoms are only good for this year, and can't be
used next year. Anyone know if this is true? If not and I can use
them, I'll be sticking them in the bank!! :)

Afraid they're duration-limited, and vanish when the event ends :-(
The juggling torches didn't, though, which surprised me!

Yeah, I was a little torqued when I saw my blossoms... gone!

I'd spent more than 350 of them on the festival garments, which
stayed, though. The other prizes seemed equally worthless.

"Torqued"....Got to remember that. :)

Yes...I didn't care about the other prizes. I was just doing it so I
could get the pet....Arrrg. 25 away... Had I known, I would have put a
little more effort last night into it. All I would have needed to do
would be to piss on 2 opposing fires and honor one....crap. Damn - I
got pretty good at doing the juggling, too. <sniff>
