Ignominious end of hardcore attempt.

Well, I blew it.

Thanophobe on Misha-US was at level 60, going around getting bonfires.
Didn't realize I was PvP flagged from flying too near the Undercity.

Got one-shotted by a high-level horde at the Brill fire.

I'm probably going to continue - after all, this was a perfectly
avoidable error, not an inability to handle a situation.

What it does change is what I'm going to do with the guy if and when
he reaches 85. I was going to put him away as a trophy. Now, I'll
probably be more active with him. Perhaps DPS/Tank. (Arms warrior
right now).

Yeah, any kind of PvP is utterly impossible if you don't wanna
die. Bummer.

Heck, I say PvP deaths shouldn't really count, as they are an
inalienable part of the PvP game.

Sounds like a better idea, anyway.

valiant not ignomious
An amazing effort, I was betting you wouldn't make it to 20 or 30 and be killed by the
game.
Flying will do it, dc, falling when attacked by a relatively low mob, flagged.

sadly it was avoidable , a game glitch you could rationalise
you could have not flown

you could have carefully guarded that seed of life,
you could have been antsy all the time
lifes a bitch , then you meet horde

deaths : 1

Congratulations on your feat of strength

In Diablo2 hardcore I created a mantra that several of us would joke
about and state at times.

"Live forever, or die trying"

One time I was in a HC game and Misfit's character was in another act
and died.

In chat I saw the words "I died trying".

I do so little PvP that I didn't immediatly grasp the significance of
the shield on my portrait.

Actually, up to this point, I'd had very few close calls once I got
out of the starting zone. I always stayed a zone behind my level, and
as others suggested, the health regeneration a warrior gets was my
best friend (along with a full panoply of hierloom gear).

Actually if you were flying to brill, being alliance it
sounds like you were desecrating the horde fires. This
will also flag you pvp and don't even have to go with
ten zones of a horde city.
