Have a mount I never thought I'd have...

I've always said that I would never have a mount that I had to pay real
money for. I'd never have the "My Little Pony" (celestial) mount. I
didn't want it. However, I made a comment a few weeks ago when my
daughter was watching me play, that I really liked the way that new
mount (the flying lion/gryphon with dreadlocks under his chin) looked,
and that it was cool looking, but I'd never have one - Just that I liked
it.

Well, my 9 year old daughter took my comment to heart, and went and gave
6 dollar from her piggy bank to my wife and said she wanted to get me
that mount for Father's day. So yesterday, in my Father's day card was
a hand drawn picture of the mount from both my 9 & 5 year old saying
"Happy father's day" and my wife had bought it from the web site and had
it sent to me while I was enjoying another Father's day gift - letting
daddy sleep in until 10:30am yesterday....bless their little hearts.

So this proud dad flew around on his Father's Day gift in game last
night... :)

Wonderful story. :) I bet you'll never change your mount again.

Thanks :)

I found I still did change occasionally on my main, but that's because I
always have. I'll fly to one point on my green proto, then next time I
mount up use the violet drake, then the winged guardian, then the one
from TB, then the one from Stone Core...I like them all.

It's my alts that I started using the Winged Guardian on all the
time...eps my rogue, as he was till using the "starter gryphon" you get
at 58 in the outlands. :)
