Problems buying from the blizzard store

A few weeks ago I tried buying something from the Blizzard store but the
transaction failed. I didn't have time to look into it back then but when I
tried buying something again today the same thing happened.

Originally I wanted to by the Cenarion Hatchling (digital pet code) and one
of the plush gryphon toys that comes with a companion pet code. I added
those to my shopping cart, selected "checkout" and verified the payment
method (the same one used to pay for my account). I added the three digit
security code and pressed "place order". After a while of waiting I was
presented with a rather generic message telling me that "A problem has
occurred processing your order" but I did not get specifics what exactly the
problem was.

I tried removing the credit card as payment method and added a new method
making sure my settings were valid. I tried removing the plush toy so only
digital goods were in the cart (I had bought the start-horse before and that
had worked flawlessly). No matter, it all ends with the same generic error
message.

Has anyone else had similar trouble in the Blizzard Store?

I'll try contacting their billing support to see what the problem may be.

Cheers
Urbin

Thats probably best.

Have your card details changed? Address etc . Are you using it while travelling?

In the last few months I have had increasing difficulty completing US transactions.
Some online stores using intermediariy checking agencies seem to be moving to 'stronger'
checking methods .They require exact matches for CC details , more closely check origin
and don't reveal where the problem is.
Initials in card names seem to be a first stumbling point.
With no declined transactions almost always in credit (<$0 debt ) at the end of the month
, I preload anticipated purchases ala debit card, the card lately bounces for some US
transactions.
US companies just don't seem to want my $AU. Bank says there is nothing wrong with it , no
alerts, warnings, funny transactions, apart from failing on US sites.
'An error occured' $50 on card ( held pending completion , which doesn't happen)
'An error occured' $100 on card
'An error occured' $150 on card

wait a few days later the charges are dropped, and the bank suggests I stop trying to buy
stuff from that site :-)

Maybe I should have stopped at
Thats probably best.

Nope. Same name, same address. Though I did have to re-register my credit
card when my 6 month subscription was up for renewal because the automatic
prolongation didn't work (before that it always had), so that may have to
do with it...

[snip details of woe]

Before contacting them I googled a little and found a post where somebody
claimed Blizzard had problems making their store work with Firefox (even
though it had worked for me several times before).

Anyway, I fired up IE and to my amazement my order went throug flawlessly.
