Since the last patch Death Strike
http://www.wowhead.com/spell=49998/de... does not give threat
which makes it handy for non tanking dk's to use, but as a noob tank I
use it to generate threat. Which spell apart from rune strike
http://www.wowhead.com/spell=56815/r... and blood boil should i
now use to gain threat?

Well, the *heal* part of Death Strike doesn't cause heal threat anymore;
this sure did contribute to your genrated threat, but to a lesser
degree. Death strike itself *does* cause threat (as it does damage), and
the blood shield is your number one source for damage mitigation, so
Death Strike should still be on top of your priorities...
