can't join new guild

evanmac69

2/14/2011 7:49:00 PM

My guild simply melt down, because we were a core of a couple of players
with a bunch of alt, suddendly I found myself almost alone in the guild,
so I started searching for a new one

Today's morning I found one comfortable, so I started to /gquit all my
toon and joining new guild, all went good except for my hunter, this she
is:

The fact is, the person inviting received a "declined invitation"
message, whilst I didn't receive any invitation

tried to disable all addon, same result; so I opened a ticket, and
waited a not so long time to chat with a gm **, who told me to reset
user options from login screen, if that won't work i should have to run
the repair tools, I tried the reset and didn't worked, then tried the
repair, and... your guess is? :D

so, I rewrite a ticket and I'm still waiting for an answer, and while
waiting for GM I tried to figure out what the problem may be, and I
thought that aretùsa was the toon with most high rep into the old guild,
when I joined the new guild with other toons I noticed a message that
told me that my guild rep was reset, and for every toon the amount of
rep points subtracted; now, I think that because I have so much points
on aretùsa to subtract I became hated or something with new guild, so I
can't join in...

any other idea?

* when trying to open that address, blizz armory said me: error 503 -
feature not available for character under level 100 (HUNDRED?)
**
Why GMs always want to chat with you right the moment you are entering
an dungeon/raid instance? every time they contacted me in that moment...

I haven't seen this issue but have experienced the "Player is already in a
Guild" bug a few times - does this link suggest anything useful? Also make
sure you don't have the auto-decline invites option selected (not sure where
it actually is though).

For those of us who object to the constant invites for guild membership
this works well:

It *did* work great, but broke completely with 4.0, at least it
brought up nothing but errors for me. I still can't find a fully
featured replacement, managed to get some duel declining addons but
I'd love something that lets me decline everything!

ok, solved, the gm told me to recheck all user option and uncheck the
"decline guild invitation" box

that's odd because I reset all user options and then checked all options
before opening a ticket... but it worked :D

I've been using NoDuel for years. It only handles duel requests but handles
those nicely. And as far as I know it still works (at least it doesn't throw
any errors).

I've been using a single line for a long time. At least since 3.0:

UIParent:UnregisterEvent("DUEL_REQUESTED")

you can bury this into another addon or add it to your 'startup' macro
if you have one (like my mage has cast shield, cast AB, conjure food)

All this does is prevent the duel request window from ever appearing
on your screen, which to me is the ideal solution. I prefer to try to
reinforce to people that unsolicited duel requests are rude, so making
them wait with the flag up is a bonus.

Well, that was one stupid comment, as shown.

Oh really, so you think the rules don't apply to you? Put money in
today,
Lentil Boy. Take it out tomorrow. See what the IRS says.

Ohhh, now it is tax free after 5.5 years.

ROFLMAO.

Gee, Lentil Boy, what happens if you take it out now? it isn't "tax
free"
is it?

ROFLMAO.

Thanks for proving yourself wrong, Lentil Boy.

Oh God, this is JUST TOO GOOD.

Hey, Lentil Boy!! Guess what? There are STATE taxes too.

ROFLMAO.

Hey boys and girls, listen to Lentil Boy. Go to prison.

ROFLAMO.

C'mon Lentil Boy, keep going, this is GREAT.
