Guild Rep?

Raymond E. Feist

1/5/2011 3:28:00 PM

OK, so my daughter decides we need a family guild, so she bribes a
couple of folk and I sign and now we have a two person guild. She makes
me an officer. I can't do anything! LoL.

So, I guess that means I need to go bang on some stuff and gain
reputation with my guild and get out of neutral before I can be an
officer?

Officer capabilities (promoting/demoting, editing the message of the day,
withdrawing from the guild bank, etc.) are entirely determined by the
guildmaster. Guild rep has nothing to do with that.

OK,then I have to figure out why I'm in the guild but I can't access the
bank, etc. I suspect my daughter may have put the wrong flags on my
toon. Thanks.

Ray,

As the guildmistress, your daughter has the ability to set access to a
variety of items, including the guild bank. Off the top of my head,
promotion/demotions, chat channel access, invite privileges, etc are
all accessed from the "Roster" tab on the guild window (default hotkey
J). She'd have to edit whatever rank you have from that tab, find the
option for bank access (also in the same location, if memory serves)
and change your permissions accordingly.

If you press J, it's under the last tab of the Guild section (not at
home, can't check). Anyway, under this last tab, there is one button
called "View Log" - this is the log of all the comings and goings (who
quit, who joined, who invited them). Just to the right of the View Log
button is the Guild Control button. This button is grayed out to
everyone but the GM.

Clicking this button will give you all the options you need to set up
each guild rank's privileges (you can also set up new ranks here).
Select a rank from a drop-down menu, and there'll be several options -
set bank access, etc.

I was GM for a bit until our real GM got an authenticator, and it's
really neat, all the things you can do.

My alts are all in a guild I made for them. When I bought a new bank
tab, only the GM could access it (even view it) until I updated the
Officer rank to also have access. I think a lot of rights start turned
off, even at Officer rank.

Thanks. I'll give it a look. "J"? I couldn't find it. Used to be a tab
under "O" social window.

Yeah, they moved the guild stuff to its own window; it's not on the social
window anymore. "J" is the default hotkey for it, but you may be using
that key for something else.

Or you can click the guild button on your main menu. If you have a guild
tabard/crest, the button looks like a small version of that. I'm not sure
what the button looks like if you don't have a crest.
