Shadowfang Keep

Nemesis Prime

No more Worgen but you do have evil spirits and undead. Horde quest
givers when you enter, I think there' Alliance but have fun just
getting there since the nearest flight point are either at Chillwind
Camp or refuge Point. If you take the Refuge route, note that there
are Horde guards located at the entrance of the Thoradin's Wall, but a
bit further north of that passway there's a hole in the wall. From
there just be sneaky since there's a lot more forsaken camps in the
area. There's also quests given to the various healing classes by
their trainers in either Orgrimmar or Stormwind that take you into
Shadowfang. If you visit trainers in other locations, you're told to
visit the trainers in those cities.

Come Cata I expect that the nearest flight point will be somewhere in
Gilneas.

Plus, there is the /lfg tool to get you there without the long run, at least
while you're at an appropriate level.

And if you're curious *why* they'rethere, roll a Horde alt and do
ilverpine, explains totally just who these bosses are, and is a pretty
epic storyline!

I think every class gets those quests, my hunter had one too.
Likewise, every class will get a Sunken Temple quest at 50.

I've started creating alts to do starter zones but it will take me a
while as I have other priorities at the moment and will have yet other
priorities after Cata hits (levelling my Shaman to 80 is my biggest
priority before 7th Dec - playing characters through the 80+ Cata
zones will be my biggest priority after 7th Dec)

I started with a Troll Warrior and I'm thinking about an Undead Rogue
for my next one.

Undead zones are totally worth it, I went right through to the end of
Hillsbrad before going south to STV, loved it all. Kalimdor's pretty
good too, don't miss Stonetalon! :-) There's so many things to see at
present, I'm working my way through Horde quests atm, but I've seen
nothing of Alliance yet, so still lots to explore later.

I took my Paladin there to do his quest a few days ago. Interesting to
see the changes. I didn't realize all healing classes got a quest - I
thought it was a Paladin thing, since the Paladin epic weapon quest
had you go to SFK in your 20s.

FYI, my game has always suffered from random C000005 access violation
crashes, but it's gotten a million times worse since the recent
patches. Seems I can't take three steps without my game crashing.
Anyway, just before the final boss, my game crashed, and when I came
back, I was facing a closed door between me and the last boss, with
seemingly no way to open it. No lever, nothing.

If anyone gets DCed from the server in this place, go back to the
previous boss, abandon the quest to kill the next boss, and talk to
that Undead quest-giver again. He will go and open the door for you.

I tanked my first instance ever in here just a couple of days
ago. I think my healer must've been distracted some of the time,
because I died several times, but no matter. We only wiped once,
during the Godfrey battle when everyone (including me, who didn't
even see them) ignored the summoned Ghouls and the Healer bit it.

Weird glitch after our wipe. When making our way back to the
final encounter, two of us were suddenly transported from where
we were (going up the "long way" ramp) to right next to the boss,
who promptly hosed us again. Never been teleported like that
before.

I was checking it out last night with my horde alts but so far only
healers got quests there, however it's tricky because there could be a
group of trainers in one place, like the Priest trainers in Undercity,
but only one offers the quest.

I passed by Stonetalon while trying to figure a way to cross from
north to south and that place has really become a war zone. There are
Alliance camps and a few flight points, mostly either Night Elf or
Theramore. The Atlas addon has updated flight maps so you know where
the flight points should be, however it did show one in Redridge that
hasn't been set up yet, just an empty camp, but that was a couple of
days ago. It's possible something was added with yesterdays patch.

If a flightpath is an empty camp, quest the zone and it'll likely open
up - there's a few that don't appear until you've done something to
trigger it appearing. Remember Crusader's Pinnacle in Icecrown? That
kinda thing :-)

As for Stonetalon being a war zone, you're not wrong there, pretty
much the entire thing as Horde is about fighting the Alliance. And I'm
curious if (insert really massive event which I don't want to spoil)
gets reflected in the Alliance side of things, if they get the same
phasing we did!

In general, the Orgrimmar trainers offer it, my understanding is every
class will have these available, not only healers, so you're probably
trying the wrong trainers. I find it annoying myself that only a few
of them bother to send you to the questgiver, so if you're training at
the wrong guy, tough luck!
