Rest XP

I haven't seen this discussed or even mentioned yet. I have a 72 druid
that I'm advancing about 2 levels a day. If I was to get her to 1 quest shy
of 80 and have it ready to turn in, would I get to keep the rest xp she
saves up if I ding her as soon as Cat goes live? I know it goes away as soon
as you hit 80 but if there are more levels to go wouldn't it carry over and
give me a slight edge when the expansion goes live? If you have rest left
when you hit 60 or 70 it carries over. Just a thought. Anyone else thinking
the same thing or know it won't work?

I don't think that it goes away as soon as you get to 80. It seems to
drop as you get closer to 80. I've noticed on a number of characters
that the rested XP seems to drop much faster at level 79 than it does on
earlier levels.

If that's the case, you'd have very little rested XP to save if you only
needed to hand one quest in to ding.

I read somewhere that you can max out your quest log (25 daily quests) then
when cata hits you can hand these in for an advantage towards lvl 81.

When Cata drops, all toons are losing all rested XP. You can only have
as much rested XP available right now as it would take to get you to 80,
and not one point more. You can use "/run print(GetXPExhaustion())" to
see how much you have available.
