Yes, I meant the 1996-1997 season 1 of "The Adventures of
Sinbad". I'll watch an episode or more to see if I want to
watch the rest.
I vaguely remember a Douglas Fairbanks "Sinbad, the
Sailor" movie. imdb certainly lists a lot of Sinbads!

Nothing to do with the above, but our Channel 7 is airing
2 episodes of Once Upon A Time tonight (Sunday), then
another episode Monday night thence another episode
Tuesday night.
Possibly the same next week.
Looks like they want to get rid of it in a hurry.

Incidentally the channels are not showing much in order
not to compete with Channel 9's airing of the Olympic
Games.
I don't mind this since I will be able to catch up on
shows as I won't be watching much of the Olympics.

We're getting a "dark" TV week over here too - I'm not sure about USA,
but TNT's show, at least, are off this week. (Luckily, I think "Pretty
Little Liars" is still new this week too... :> )

IIRC season 1 is better than season 2, and the best eps have the hot
evil sorceress after them ..

Yep! The Harryhausens are the best

Season 1 is definitely better than season #2, from all accounts - I
either didn't like season #2 at all, or didn't watch it because I hated
the 'retool' (I don't remember which). But I think everyone who watched
both seasons said they hated season #2...

Season two
In the opening of season two, Maeve is swept away during a storm. In his
attempt to rescue her, Sinbad washes up on an island where he meets
Bryn, who joins his crew. This season is darker in tone than season one,
and explores the mystery of the rainbow bracelets.

Yeah, it's coming back to me now.

Plus:

Bryn, a mysterious woman with a talent for magic, was introduced in
season two. She meets Sinbad when he is washed ashore on the island she
stays on. She had previously been washed ashore on the same island, and
retained no memory of who she was or why she was there, apart from that
her name was Bryn. She wore a rainbow bracelet matching Sinbad's, and
when the two of them eventually managed to find the rest of the crew and
escape the island, a message from Dim-Dim indicated she was the key to
victory, presumably over the vengeful sorceress Rumina.

Except Rumina isn't IN season 2. At all.

Maybe that is why it is not available afaik.
