23 players decided that saterday was a fine day to meet their
advisaries. Four peoples were new to the scene, and really put up a
good fight. Two of them entered the finals. Like before the Korenbeurs
is a great space to host a tournament.
An exaptional low score was needed to enter the final. 1GW and 4,5 VP
was enough for Peter to enter the final. Just one player managed to
score two gamewins in the preleminary rounds.
A lot of player decided that bleed would be a good way to win. This
resulted in relative low combat enviroment, also political decks were
underrepresented. A few walldecks and some toolbox decks, but
bleedecks were the majority.
The finals seating:
1 Thomas Kouwenhoven: tremere, presense with allies
2 Nikolaos Tsiavos: Lasombra oldskool bleed
3 Peter Bouwman: Laibon Politics
4 Caspauw Timmermans: Auspex Wall
5 Puck Jansen: Weenie Dominate Bleed
The expectancy was as follows:
Thomas who had the last choise decided to sit as far away from Caspauw
´s walldeck as possible. The reason was that the wall deck would slow
or stop Peter´s Laibon Politics, even eaglesight the bleeddeck from
time to time. Thomas decided not to be peter´s predator because his
ousting power was not enormous. The bloating power of the votedeck
would be an impossible task for him, so he decided that the lasombra
had to do the dirty work for him.
Nicolaos decided as 3rd choise to prey on peter and not on caspauw.
Peter´s deck would be slower and more easy tob leed.
Peter had no choice in were to sit. He expected to be ousted soon. A
wall to the left and a bleeder to the right would surely be a pain to
survive, let alone play your game.
Caspauw had no choise in were to sit.
Puck was the 4th to choose and decided to try to oust nicolaos, but
thomas decided later to sit between them.

Sinse this is Vampire things never go according to plan.
Everybody had a normal start exept for Peter had an highway and a
dreams as first two masters.
Puck´s dominate weenies did some nasty successfull bleeds against
thomas who got low on pool early on.
Nicolaos bleed for quite a lot, but peter played villein and votercaps
to keep himself in a save position.
Caspauw´s walldeck wasn´t able to generate enough intercept to stop
peter from playing his game, but he was able to put Puck´s bleeddeck
under pressure. The fame and tension backuped by Magnums were a
constant threat to him.
Puck began to lose pool because he bleeds became unsuccesfull. In
midgame Thomas had a carlton from wyck stolen from Caspauw and a
pontculus. His defense seemed enough for the moment, and there was
even some time to put some pressure on nicolaus.
Not much later tere was a turning point. Peter banished Nicolaos
Gratiano, which halfed his base bleedpower. There wasn´t enough pool
to savely bring gratiano back in the game.
Peter was to everybody surprise able to pass any most of the political
actions without being blocked by Caspauw.
Caspauw was now low on pool from all the damage of Peter´s votes. Then
he played a dragonbound at the end of his turn. At this point Puck was
dying. He was on 4 pool with 2 minions in torpor. Fame was on one of
his 2 ready vampires and tension in the ranks was also threatening his
pool. He barely survived that turn.
Thomas was also low on pool but had 3 ready vampires and 2 allies.
Ousting his prey was not possible this turn or the next.
Peter was on between 10 and 15 pool at the start of is turn. He didn´t
had any votes in hand so he decided to go bleeding with Ayo. Equiped
with the Kduva's Mask auspex was very expensive, but more important
for Peter, it was not enough. Peter got his first VP. His new prey was
also very low, he took him oust with a few more bleeds.
Since thomas was still very low on pool, there was no margin for
error. Things looked very bad for him. Nicolaos was in a better shape
but in no way able to oust Peter soon. So peter started his next turn.
On his first action e played a KRC with Ayo. Thomas attempted
desperately to block, but failed. Thomas was now out of pool. Sinse
Peter now had 3 VP´s, he already won the game. After one more round
Nicolaos shook hands with Peter and gave up.
Thank you all for attanding the tournament. I hope you enjoyed it.
Till next time,
Jeroen van Oort
Prins of Utrecht
