Fun weekend, a few clarifications. I did not play Ahrimanes in the
first tournament, that was a Laibon Assamite deck designed my Matt &
me. It got punked in the final by it's prey (a theme for the day)
until it stabilized to a point that made it too difficult for Ira to
oust me and timed out with Mike Z. as the victor. The second was a
Sobayifa voting deck with Ahrimane support. In the final Ira's
strategy seemed to be 'get rid of the threat (me) and have a fairly
inexperienced player as a predator' and his draws were doing this well
as mine did not thwart it. So I kept dealing with Sean to do as much
damage to Ira's (that is, my prey's) resources while he kept me in the
game (you know, like a good bitch). The most amusing moment for all
the observers was when I DI'ed a card of Ira's with one pool and asked
Sean if I should tap Tshwanne or not and he chose for me to do so,
laughter ensued and i stuck in for another round.
Those 2 decks will win a tournament some time soon I swear!

Thanks for the promos, Jeff, they proved to be a big incentive. Many
of our players from Castro Valley are new, but they played well
overall and really enjoyed getting extra Lilith's Blessing, Fee
Stakes, and all that. Maybe before White Wolf shuts it's VTES doors we
can get a shit ton of promos to hand out. Experienced players are
probably sick of them, but new players are happy to get anything and
they are the future, to be corny for a minute.
