Deck: Property Development.

Mael

11/22/2010 3:37:00 PM

This deck concept is to use Guillaume Giovanni's special to hold the
majority of your deck in your hand.
Isanwayen is there for the extra MPAs (and extra ousting power as he
shares Dom and Obt with Guillaume). Zygodat and Smash are mainly
included for their clan, for Slaughterhouse and Waste Management
Operations respectively.

It is completely untested as I am missing a few of the key cards (eg
Slaughterhouse). Before I try sourcing the missing cards, does anyone
have any experience with a similar deck? Or any general suggestions
for the below deck?

My own thoughts are that 1) even with a perfect draw I'm not sure I'll
get 40 MPAs in a game, 2) blood cost might be an issue, and 3) I'd
like to trim it from 90 cards to give it a better chance of a
consistent start, should be ok once it gets going.

I have a simliar deck and I love your inclusion of Isanwayen in the
crypt. Also, you should be playing with all Mythericia cards. Their
outferiors are obtenebration and potence which Guillaume can play.
Makes it flow alot easier.

I play a similar deck, although it is 11/12 Giovanni in the crypt (Anu
Diptinatpa uses the 12th slot). I've found the 4 Guillaume is the
perfect number. I also use Powerbase: Zurich to get lower cap vampires
out, but I'm not sure if you want to spend the actions, and you have
very few different capacity vampires (only 3 caps makes it hard to
flip over several guys).

You are correct about the master actions. 40 is way too many. I run
20, and several people will tell you that 20 is too many. And although
Isanwayen gives you extra MPA, do you really want to be tapping him
down every turn?

That being said, here's a few locations I use that you might want to
look at:

KRCG News Radio - +1 intercept is always useful, irregardless of deck
type. Also, its great to trade that +1 intercept to someone across
table from you in return for a favor later.

The Rack - It can be hard to defend, but it also gives Guillaume 2
blood a turn, which you can spend on the necromancy. Without Path of
Bone in there, they can get expensive, fast. Also helps him recover
from that minion tap.

Palatial Estate - See the Rack, but it can't be stolen. However, it
does require an action to go fetch in the first place, and costs blood
off of Guillaume.

Metro Underground - Depending on how you find your pool to be, Metro
Underground can be great in a deck that has a small field of vamps,
which you certainly do. Especially with how few wakes you have.

Now, you'll find one of two things happening. Either you'll hit
Guillaume and locations, and the deck will start building in your
hand, giving you almost all the answers you need, or......You'll get
either locations, or Guillaume, but not both, and you'll limp along.
Good Luck!

Ummm... Anu's group 6, and Guillaume is group 4.

Sorry, forgot to mention we play with slightly looser restrictions,
since we have a lot of players who don't have very many cards.

Ah, OK - that makes a lot of sense. Do what works for your player
base! :-)
