Khabar: Glory, Loss, and Mask of 1000 Faces

3rdshiftr

11/20/2010 7:06:00 AM

Assamite A plays Khabar Glory, untaps, and Loss bleeds for +3 bleed.
vamp B blocks.
Assamite C plays M1KF

A) vamp C uses text of K:G for +3 bleed at +1 stealth
B) vamp C cannot use text of K:G This and bleeds at her normal bleed
at +1 stealth

I say A. But this is why I don't play M1KF that much, too much fuzzy
math...

Khabar: Glory
Cardtype: Action
Clan: Assamite
+1 stealth action. Unique.
Not usable if any non-mandatory actions have been performed this turn.
Put this card on this acting Assamite and untap him or her. This
Assamite gets +1 bleed. If your prey is ousted while this card is in
play, you gain an additional 4 pool. Burn this card during your next
untap phase.

Mask of a Thousand Faces
Cardtype: Action Modifier
Discipline: Obfuscate
[obf] Only usable by a ready, untapped vampire other than the acting
minion who is capable of performing the action. Not usable if any
action modifiers or other effects have been used that could not have
been used if this vampire were the acting vampire. Untap the acting
minion and tap this vampire instead. The action continues with this
vampire as the acting minion.
[OBF] As above, with +1 stealth.

Never.

Exactly.

Just like retainers or built-in bleed don't carry over, cards that
give plus bleed aren't moved over to the new actor.

The action is Loss. Only Loss moves to the new actor.

The action is Loss. Only Loss moves to the new actor.

....if prey is ousted by the new actor Loss bleeding at +2, does the
K:Glory trigger the +4 pool bonus, since K:G is still in play on vamp
A?

Yes.

If your prey is ousted for any reason between the time you play
Khabar: Glory and the start of your next turn, you gain the extra 4
pool.

So, items that are good to combo with it:
Smiling Jack
Anarch Revolt
Antediluvian Awakening
Fame
Dragonbound
Tension in the Ranks

Khabar: Glory should be in every Assamite deck that can oust a
prey....

Heh. Harsh.

I've had decent luck with the deck below. It is not uncommon for
Khabar: Glory to go off, and I often manage to have vote lock in the
late game due to counters on Alamut, so Political Flux could turn an
oust into 1 VP + 16 pool. (It hasn't yet, but that's 'cause I've
never drawn the Flux.)

Yeah, it's basically dom/obf S&B at its core, but the Assamite and
Black Hand cards do make a big difference in terms of its
effectiveness.

Enjoy,
Alex

Created By: Alex Broadhead
Description: Assamite Black Hand Loss S&B. Bounce is this deck's
biggest problem - bleed for 1-2 until they're out of bounce and then
let 'em have it. The latest version adds Fleetness (could be Hand
Contract?) and more Blood Sweat/Taste of Death to rush bouncers;
previous builds had one more of each Obfuscate card.
