LSJ) Soul Decoration questions

1. A minion with superior Soul Decoration is performing an action and
plays an action modifier that requires Auspex. Can that minion cancel
the action modifier with the Soul Decoration?

2. A minion with superior Soul Decoration plays an action card that
requires Auspex. Can that minion cancel the action card with Soul
Decoration? (Why? To cycle the 50 Revelations out of your twister deck
or something.)

Soul Decoration
Type: Action
Requires: Obfuscate & Vicissitude
+1 stealth action.
[obf][vic] (D) Bleed.
[OBF][VIC] Put this card on this acting vampire. Once each action this
vampire performs, he or she can cancel a card that requires Auspex
[aus] as it is played (no cost is paid).

#1: Makes sense you should be able to do it. It would allow you to
dump excess Croc Tongues or Telepathic Counters... I can't see why you
couldn't... (can't see why you WOULD...)

#2: If you cancel an action as you play it then you can't be
performing an action. This use might create a logic paradox, so I'd
lean to the side of not allowing it in the first place.

Correct. Why: to get a card cycled.

Correct.

Sorry, I'm asking for some clarification here :-)
It's been ruled that action cards can be cancelled with reaction cards
(Rewind Time, Power of All) that can only be played during actions.
Maybe the whole point here is that a minion starts to "perform" the
action once the point where cancelling the action card as it is played
is past.
This would be consistent with http://groups.google.com/group/rec.games.trading-cards.jyhad/msg/f63611...
, where a action DI'd doesn't count as one of the actions getting +1
stealth from Veil the Legion.
It this correct?
