It is a very strong accomplishment for Brian to have won the NAC and
now the EC!
This EC win with a deck that is described as "Akunanse Bleed/Combat"
seems
incredible. I am really looking forward to seeing the decklist.

congrats Brian!

If reported, this deck will be doubly important, as Brian will then
join the Hall of Fame for 5 reported tournament wins with two of them
being continental championships....

I knew Brian would do well.
He was kind of "on fire" when we met him just before the finals :)

Playing abombwe and winning the biggest event with it will, *i hope*,
inspire players around the world to try new decks, strategies and
disciplines :)

thank you for that Brian, and congratulations :)

I don't have a decklist, but I was his prey in the third round, so I have a
description;

It was a huge bloating machine with combat consisting of playing Invoking
the Beast with Matata "hit for 3, press, hit for 3, press, hit for 3" and
just forward Deep Song bleeding with anywhere from 4 to 7 minions. There was
some casualcept in the form of Raven Spies, Sense the Savage Way, Cat's
Guidance and Predator's Communion, which was - as far as I have seen - more
than enough to block pretty much everything in the meta of the day. Fakir Al
Sidi (who has abo and also has +1 str and a press) provided almost endless
vote defense with his special (especially when he gets a Rack...).

It looked to me like Short Chain Combat with a fair amount of +bleed and a
lot of wakes.

In all fairness, I think the player behind the deck was a lot more important
to its success than the deck itself.
