LSJ - Temptation between Awe & Voter Cap

Simple query: If a vamp with Temptation on it & the appropriate number
counters on the Temptation plays Awe during a referendum, can i burn
the counters on the temptation to untap the vamp prior to it playing
Voter Cap?
I think it can b done, but just need to check...

Temptation
Action
Serpentis
(D) Put this card on a ready vampire; you still control this card.
During your master phase, you may put a counter on this card. During
your minion phase, if the number of counters on this card equals or
exceeds the amount of blood on this vampire, you may burn the counters
to untap this vampire and take control of him or her until the end of
the turn.
As above, and add a counter when you play this card.

Voter Captivation
Action Modifier
Presence
Only usable after resolving a successful referendum called by this
acting vampire.
The acting vampire gains X blood from the blood bank, where X is the
number of votes by which the referendum passed.
As above, but move up to 2 of those blood counters to your pool
instead of this vampire.

Awe
Action Modifier
Presence
Only usable during a referendum.
This vampire gets X+1 votes.
As above, but this vampire gets 2X+1 votes.

Assuming this is happening during your minion phase, yes. The action
would then end immediately (and votes would not be tallied).

But in order to play Voter Captivation, the referendum would already
have to be successful (i.e. votes tallied and effects of the
referendum applied), so the player could wait until then to use the
effects of Temptation.

Question: If the Temptation is on a minion I already control, does the
action still end?

The plan was to do it all on a minion i control, during my minion
phase.
So i can call a vote, play Awe and burn lots of blood, burn the (now)
few required counters on Temptation to untap, allow the referendum to
continue (and succeed) and then play Voter Cap after the referendum
has passed to refill the vamp.

hence i was particularly keen to ensure 1) the Temptation could be
used btw Awe & Voter Cap, and 2) Such use of Temptation would not
prevent the referendum from succeeding.

Oh, sorry, I assumed you were trying to take control of someone else's
vampire.

Untapping with Temptation during an action is fairly common (it's a
known trick to avoid losing an extra pool on Domain Challenge). In the
case there is no change of control of the acting minion, nothing
prevents the action from continuing. You untap, just as you would
untap with Rutor's Hand. The action continues.

So, you call the vote, play Awe for a lot, untap with Temptation
(could untap during the referendum or after), and then play Voter
Captivation and gain blood.
