Anyone know how late before they kick us out of the CCG Hall on Sunday
at Origins? That may force the NAC to a FRI-SAT time frame. Which
means either the Origins Qualifier or the US Nats is pushed off the
schedule, or run in the same day(Thurs)
Wed Evening: Jay Kristoff Invitational (This also opens up the
possibility of a Columbus player hosting tournaments Mon-Tues for
locals and early arrivers to Origins as a Week of Nightmares intro)
Thurs 8AM: 2R+Final Origins Qualifier
Thurs 3PM: 3R+Final US Nats
Friday 8AM: 2R+Final Last Chance Qualifier
Friday 3PM: 3R+Final Day 1 NAC (Shadow Twin mirror tournament)
Sat: 12PM: 3R+Final Day 2 NAC (Concurrent draft)
Sat: 9PM Party at Bars
Sun: 10AM: First Chance Qualifier
That is one rather busy schedule, but how else could it be done? The
other problem is it puts both big name US events at the same location
and same time. I'd rather see them kept distant to give the US Nats
Tournament more meaning than an NAC intro.

Is there another large gathering like Origins that could host it?
From previous years it looked like Gen Con drew few VTES players for a
national Champion tournament, so I would be against moving it back
there unless it could draw more players. What else is there that
draws a larger audience from play groups across the country?
Generally we have regional qualifiers with some players from nearby
playgroups attending, but seem to lack any other US scale event.
Maybe move the US Nats out west, to give the west coast players a big
name tournament. Generally Origins has been east coast/Englishmen
with a few stragglers from other places. While this may sound self-
serving as I currently live here(but not for long hopefully), what if
the US Nats was moved to Las Vegas. That could turn the usually 1 day
event here that has drawn interest from west and east players into a
larger 2-3 day possibility. It also puts the US Nats and NAC 3-4
months apart. It also puts the less popular event into a city that
has a larger tourist draw that people could turn into a weeklong
vacation or what have you.
