Darby Keeney won the LCQ last night and we have 40 players for NAC day
1. 25 people will be advancing to Day 2.

Not directly related to VTES, but interesting: reports are saying that the
CCP WOD MMO is based on the OWOD.
Creating new old World of Darkness canon, recruiting new players to the
setting, and canceling the well-established CCG in that universe.. Great
idea, WotC/CCP/WW.

When you say Derby, do you mean Dancey?
Or am I missing some other scapegoat?

I'm actually facing this as good news. A MMORPG based on Requiem would
basically spell doom for our beloved game whereas, if the oWOD game is
successful, we might actually see a resurgence o V:TES.

A number of hoops need to be jumped through, though. The company might
still be unwilling to invest in the CCG market no matter what or the
cardboard spin-off of said MMORPG might not be V:TES as we know it but
a more massified, dumbed-down version of a oWOD card game using
completely different mechanics.

These news offer a glimmer of hope, is what I'm saying. At least they
pretty much kill the "they won't sustain V:TES for marketing reasons
so as not to contradict their Requiem brand" type of argument.
