Really, I think if the game survives and thrives for a few years, WW
will start publishing it again. It seems like, right now, sales have
been sluggish on most sets and anyway CCP wants the WW team's
resources all put towards getting the online WoD game going. Once
that's done, and once stockpiles of old sets have mostly left the
warehouse shelves, I think they'll want to bring back a profitable
product. Provided there's evidence it'll be profitable. The
precedent of the first years in the wilderness and the strong sales of
Sabbat War is a good start. We just need to keep the game alive for a
while now.
Personally, I do NOT want any quasi-official fan sets or home-made
rulebooking while the hope of official republication is alive.
What you propose doing all sounds good. A real website would be a
boon.
What I'm going to do is get the Clan Newsletter I wrote (Harbingers of
Skulls) back on something like a regular schedule. And maybe put some
illustrations or fiction in it.
Also, I'm going to put some time and energy into trying to restart
regular play here in Bloomington, Indiana. We had it going for a
couple of years but never reached a critical mass. I'll try again.
Finally, I'm playing Hoosier Lotto whenever the pot is above $10M and
when I win I'll see if I can afford the license to VTES.
