You have to convert to WAV in any case if you're burning an audio CD-
R. There is usually no need to edit tracks to get gapless playback. CD
burning programs have settings to adjust the amount of silence before
each of the tracks--just set this value to zero for tracks that need
no gap preceding them. If you don't specifically change this, the CD
burning program will leave its default value for silence in between
tracks (typically five seconds, but programs vary).
