Two Canadian VTES Sites

Canada Day seems an appropriate occasion to announce a couple of
Canadian forum-based VTES websites.

www.vtes.ca is a place Canadian VTES players from coast to coast to
coast can come together to share ideas, set up games, announce events,
trade, all that good stuff. A lot like this Newsgroup, only because
it's full of Canadians, it'll be unnervingly polite.

You'll find a section for whatever needs or interests you have,
including Local Boards set up for whatever region of the country
you're in. Looking for a game in Surrey, B.C.? Want to trade with
someone in Laval, Quebec? vtes.ca is the place to go.

www.edmontonvtes.ca ticks a lot of the same boxes, but is geared more
specifically to the Edmonton-and-area VTES community. It's by no means
an exclusive club, though. Anybody can feel free to come peruse the
Want/Have lists people have already set up, and see what's gone on in
Edmonton's scene lately.

Welcome to VTES's new online Canadian home... eh.

Will you be asking people to pronounce Ottawa and offense correctly? And
name who was the Vezina winner in 2008-09 season? (probably not, since he's
American and plays for a US team..)

But on a more serious note, how will you be interfacing with the
Francophone playgroups in Quebec?

File it under: "Google Groups sucks and should only be used to search for old
posts."

As I suspected, Google Groups has hideously mangled those links. Why?
I don't know.

don't know if you posted them from inside google groups, and that's where
the mangling happened, or if it's just reading them in google groups that's
the problem, but they seem to work fine here using a normal newsreader.
