You can't reject responsibility, it is something you are trusted are charged
with.
To base an ethical principle around 'rejecting responsibilty' it is morally
corrupt.
If a person did base their ethics around that, where would they stop?
Rejecting responsibility for their children, their family? Would they reject
responsibility of the meat trade, because they buy the meat from others with
a free will?
There is no moral difference between buying product A (meat) and being
charged with the responsibility of your actions of causing suffering and
death, or product B (drugs) and being charged with the responsibility of
your actions of causing suffering and death. If that responsibility lies
heavy on your conscience then you make an alternative choice within the
range of available options.
If you don't want the responsibility of children, you don't have children.
If you don't want the responsibility of the consequences of eating meat, you
don't eat meat.
If you don't want the responsibility of the consequences of taking
particular drugs, you don't take those drugs.
