I doubt Mussolini's fascism was as damaging as Bush's.

'War Is A Racket'

7/16/2005 3:20:00 PM

The more I see Bush in action I realize he has more in common with Mussolini
than Hitler. Hitler was a true killer, a shark with no mercy. Bush on the
other hand appears to be like the bumbling Mussolini only less inclined to
care about the average citizen. Mussolini was a blowhard, "Bring em on" type
of guy, but he was careful to provide for his citizens. Bush on the other
hand views the average citizen much as the Agents did humans in Matrix, as a
source of benefit for the machine. The machine in Bush's case is the
economic gluttony of the wealthy.

Medicating the dead

By Phil Rockstroh
Online Journal Contributing Writer

"Despite a nearly 500 percent increase in mental health drugs being
prescribed to children in the previous six years, the NFC [New Freedom
Commission on Mental Health] recommended a plan of mandatory mental health
screening for all public school students and follow-up treatment with drugs
when needed.

"The fact is, this is nothing more than another elaborate profiteering
scheme hatched by Bush and the pharmaceutical industry to convert the
millions of people in public systems into customers for new psychiatric
drugs in order to funnel more tax dollars to Pharma."

Evelyn J. Pringle, Online Journal, March 28, 2005

July 16, 2005-To a self-inflicted, by way of alcohol and cocaine, head-wound
case such as George W. Bush, the ascendancy of pharmaceutical fascism must
seem an inspired idea.

Bush, who spent a large percent of his life sloshing though rivers of booze
and hiding out in mountains of South American powder (and who is, at
present, in all likelihood being secretly propped up with powerful
psychoactive meds) is the perfect corporate icon for our nation of highly
medicated sleepwalkers.

But Christ on a crack pipe, how long do we Americans believe we can go on
like this, benumbed to the point of stupefaction, waddling about, cooing at
all the shiny consumer goods, here, in our infantilized, corporate
dystopia-The United States of Teletubbies (a demented, collective fantasy
that resembles what baby Adolph Hitler's dreams must have looked like when
he was given opium-based medication for colic)-before the high gets totally
harshed?

"Of course the people don't want war. But after all, it's the leaders of the
country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag
the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a
parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can
always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have
to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for
lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger."

Godwin's Law

Godwin's Law /prov./ [Usenet] "As a Usenet discussion grows longer, the
probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches one." There
is a tradition in many groups that, once this occurs, that thread is over,
and whoever mentioned the Nazis has automatically lost whatever argument was
in progress. Godwin's Law thus practically guarantees the existence of an
upper bound on thread length in those groups.

Another rightwing/neo-fascist Theory of Irrelevance. If you can't rebut
intelligently throw out a red herring to cloud the issue and hope no one
notices.

"Those seeking profits," Jefferson wrote, "were they given total freedom,
would not be the ones to trust to keep government pure and our rights
secure. Indeed, it has always been those seeking wealth who were the source
of corruption in government. No other depositories of power have ever yet
been found, which did not end in converting to their own profit the earnings
of those committed to their charge."

of relevance or substance to rebut my theory, JimEeeeeee.

It is a historical fact that Saudi Arabia and the Bush family have a history
of deal making. It is a historical fact that the Saudi Arabian government
was funding 911 terrorists as they lived in the U.S. It is a historical
fact that Bush was warned on August 6, 2001 that al Qaeda was planning
terrorist attacks inside the U.S. using air planes. It is a historical fact
that John Ashcroft cut funding to the FBI's counter terrorism budget in the
summer of 2001 and told the acting director that he didn't want to hear any
more about al Qaeda or the Islamic terrorist threat. It is a historical fact
that fifteen out of the eighteen 911 terrorists were Saudi Arabian. It is a
historical fact that Bush allowed the bin Laden family and other Saudi
Arabians to fly out of the U.S. as quickly as possible after 911, even with
U.S. airliners grounded. It is a historical fact Saudi Arabia is helping
fund the Iraqi insurgency.

How does one rebut the incoherent rambling of someone with an ax to grind,
but no wood to cut.
Rebutting idle name calling is a fools errand.

Very boring tripe, Bulwinkel. How about a Billy Clinton quote to liven up
your Saturday morning:

Bill Clinton's Fantasy #3
"I have vivid and painful memories of black churches being burned in my own
state when I was a child."
President Clinton
June 8 1996 - national radio address
THE FACTS #3
"Others don't recall what Clinton does"
Headline in Arkansas Democrat Gazette of a column by Frank Wolfe
June 9, 1996
"I've never known of a black church being burned in Arkansas."
John Ferguson, Director Arkansas History Commission
quoted in the Frank Wolfe column June 9, 1996

"I looked through my files. I couldn't find anything." [referring to the
Clinton quote about fires at black churches in Arkansas]
Curtis Sykes, Chairman Arkansas Black History Advisory Committee quoted in
the Wolfe column June 9, 1996

"We were just fortunate not to have one." [when asked about fires at
Arkansas black churches]
Jerry Jewell, former state senator and former
Branch President of Arkansas NAACP

stupidly stupid.

Translation: You can't disprove my theory that Bush is closer to Mussolini
than Hitler except Bush could care less about the average citizen/worker.

There is no namecalling, you clearly exhibit the fascist traits I have
posted in my posts and links.

fascism: a system of government that exercises a dictatorship of the extreme
right, TYPICALLY THROUGH THE MERGING OF STATE AND BUSINESS LEADERSHIP,
together with a belligerent nationalism.
